My space framed nova with big power XE and sequential box

Well here we go.......................... Ive been floating around on here for a while, asking questions and generally getting advise. Iv finally got my **** in gear and decided to get a wip thread started.

Basically im building a track day nova (whoi isnt these days lol ) so to start here the shell im using:

Its still not finished, need to go through to the turret tops with the cage and finish the seam welding throughout . The plating kit has been added to the bay.

Im still not sure wheteher its going to be mk1 or 2 yet............ sorrylol may have to do a poll. I like the mean look of the mk1 but the more modern look of the mk2.

Nice shell, is that that works shell that was for sale on Eurorally not so long ago

The cage is a custom cages jobie, like i mentioned still isnt finished would probably be sufficiant as it is though! ive been on with it for 12 month now.
I did see the shell at eurorallye (its only 10min down the road) wasnt a bad price considering.

Thanks, the list just seems to get longer and longer. Once i get all the parts i dont think it should take long to put together.

Was suposed to be doing some work on the shell this weekend but doubt i will be doing now. Just had a fault code read on the daily driver variable valve timing is out causing high emmisions and lumpy idle http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif fookin ?600 pounds of a job! Had a quiet shift at work today so made a start on polishing my sump No real need im just a tart and like things clean http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/lmao.gif . Also started to make some titanium spacers for my rear coilovers and some titanium brackets for the golf rear calipers. Heres the sump:

That house was nice enough, cant make my mind up though. I realy realy want to get the nova done. Think im probably guna just do the nova then look at houses probably. Think im aiming for the 19 jan. You dont know anybody a dab hand with a welder do you?:) Dont know what parts i will have left thats any use to you but you never know.

Finished making my bushes for my rear shocks outa titanium. They weigh nothing. Still to finish the rear caliper hangers.

Not realy much of an update, recieved my arp head studs and just ordered full gasket kit with 1.3mm metal head gasket and steel rollers and new cam belt. Finished one of my hangers for the rear calipers to:

Took delivery on some uni ball, ball joints, ordered the forward triangulation for the cage and hopefully getting the wide track kit delivered on monday. Waiting for some parts off santa from my girlfriend toolol . When i actually start to do somthing i will get some pics up.:thumb:

Was aiming for 19 janlol theres a trackday what some of the lads form work are going on. Doubt i will have it done by then but you never know? Yeah i still have the manifold. You guna start a wip when you decide on your engine.
