no floods here but when i was in devon for the week it did nothing but rain stayed in a caravan and the road to the site was to the top of a astras wheel as hes car conked out in the middle of it lol to get on the car park by the beach/arcade you had to go under a railway bridge that was about a foot deep car stinks of stail water now
never known it flood here before and ive lived her for 28 years
This was my street (well it used to be - more like a river!)

At the top there is a 12 inch deep "lake" ....

Had to navigate through some serious floods today - some to$$er in a 4x4 went blasting past whilst I was mid-lake and the wave went over the bonnet , windscreen and onto the roof (reminded me of the TopGear episode where they make "carboats").
Made it back in one piece - lucky I was in my Vectra - the Nova would have dissapeared in some areas its so low!!!
Joff
heard on the news a man drowend in a drain not sure how
i didnt actually reaslise how bad its been till i just saw the news then:eek:
parts of sheffeild i think it was, waist deep.
no probs round here as far as i know and its been pouring down all day
He was unblocking a main drain , lifted the manhole cover , then slipped / got pushed by the water into the hole and got his leg jammed in a metal grate.Quote:

Notice the water is halfway up the side of the shop fronts! And the road dips under the bridge - probably about 10 ft deep under the bridge.
