wot have ya got so far?
engine , box(f20), mounts , loom, ecu, brakes, strenghthining kit,cv's,ummm few other bits i just wondered is there little bits that you miss that you can use
bigger rad and fan, pef out of gte/gsi, tank and pump? have ya got them?
no i knew i would need a bigger rad wasnt sure about the pump and tank do they have to be changed or is it just advised
mate you got 1.2 carb, 2.0 is injection hence y you need gte/gsi tank and pump otherwish there will be no pressure to pull petrol tho on carb tank to injection motor
i did know i would need a pump but i was going to run an external one and leave the tank
on gte tank you got 2 out lets and 2 inlets, carb tank 1 of each, also you gotta change all petrol hoseing as well as it wont stand the pressure of the injection
the only other thing is i was planning on runniing twin 45's in the future but might just go straight to them so you would recommend getting a gsi tank sweet will try get one cheers
gsi or gte the both the same
u will need the pump as well
Doesnt the injection tank have the swirl pot
would a cavalier 2.0l rad and fan fit into the nova?
1.2 rads are the same size/capacity as the gte's/ gsi's.
Only 1.0's are smaller and need changing.
Wouldnt have thought a cav rad would fit, just stick with the 1.2 one.
gte rad is slightly bigger
According to a radiator supplier I tried a while back they have two sizes one for 1.0 and one for a 1.2-1.6.
Im running a 1.6 on its original 1.2 radiator and its fine, never overheats.
Yep nova GSi/GTE/SRi tanks have swirl pots to prevnet fuel surge whilst heavy corner or braking. It basiclly there to keep fuel pumping up the lines with out a dry spot. The GSi/GTE/SRi rads are the same all the rest of are differnt, im not saying there is a right or a wrong one its your call.
