My turbo nova project!

every one else has one so thought id start a project thread for my car!:)

been fitting up this apexi at the moment! as you can see ive located the solonoid v/v and the unit its self and ran the wires through the dash!

yep deffo going with small!!, hopefully it will be running when i get my ecu back, just had a chip change so it will run motronic 60-2 trigger! hopefully less hassle than the old set up!

Rick car has not changed from that picture bar the fmic cut out, wheels and wing mirror covers which are now non colour coded!
rad is just a corsa one with twin kenlowe fans!:thumb:

I still like it, but I liked it MORE in DFS trim! LOL!!!

lol bugger! well for a start it now has euro/ std rear lights on it! 1 point to me!
also thinking, in fact yes i want a std fuel cap!!:) any one got one in vgc? one with the lock in under the flap? or paint the silver one?!

brakes better, more subtle, red calipers= boy racer!! now they are silver 4pots!
bonnet pins, no choice due to nissan manifold!
stickers, yes i agreelol
same again for the side repeaters!:eek:

and it still has that tax disk holder!! worth any points?

i think it may run soon done a quick test with the ecu and i now have an rpm value, just got to set the mode flags for 60-2. just got a 3" top hat aswell, just need to tweek it abit. also got the keys to the house yesterday so once the floor is painted in the garage, the nova can move in! ( my dad cannot wait to get his garage back!!), any way double garage here we come:thumb:

I been looking at M3's there cheap enough but the Evo's are still holding the vlue and at the end of the day if you buy a 3.0l one you will only wish you had got an evo lol

I was looking at M3 Evos before i got the DC5, wish id gone for the M3 now as, with the EVO Market, the DC5 market is right on its ****e!! Been up for sale for 6 months and nothing at all yet!!!!

Cars looking awesome dan, just get it finished!!! Inspiration to get my **** in gear to get mine done!!

Sorry to take your thread off topic Dan.

An M3 aint anything like a 318 on steroids, it is a car designed with competition in mind and it is very successful, and Evo is just a Lancer with a bolt on rear subframe and a turbo added to give shed loads of torque.

no mate its toyota super white! realy bright in the flesh!, thanks for the comments lads! yes i want the evo m3!! in estoril blue! evos are cheap imo circa 70k for 8-9k! on say an r plate, heard you have to watch out for the vanos on the evos though!

The VANOS is similar to Hondas Vtec, and yes its expensive if it goes wrong!

I dont think the Vanos is that problematic, sold a few of the engines and the BMW enthusiasts dont seem to be scared of them in the slightest.

Its not problematic, just if it does go wrong, it can be very expensive!

How can you get away with no front facing number plate? :wtf:

by far my favoruite nova iv seen on here,its mint!! subtle mods look good,go with the small decal mate oh and let me know if u ever want to sell,ot that u would like lol but id buy it straight away.

thanks mate! i get away with no number plate as it hasnt been driven or mot'd for about 2.5 yearslol or maybe 3 now!! any way its basicaly running now just need a timing gun sesh, but need an extra pair of hands!

Dan its been almost ready about 3 times, then you rip it apart again, so im not going to hold my breathe!

no mate it needs to be driven this time!! honest! though i would like a t34 for it as i wanted around 350hp and the t3 will be on its last legs at just over 300 or so im told!
any way got a mate round and went through some settings increased them slowly now it is idling at about 980rpm, pritty smooth but could be better, its just off tdc on the timing gun. garage was getting fumed up so we decided to do the rest another day when we can get the main door open!
