Insurance ? 2.0xe at 18

Instead of my extreme 1.4srt40 project, i could jst drop a 2.0xe in and it would probably cost a fraction of the amount im gonna spend ona 1.4

i know the chances aren't good

but whats the chance of me getting insurance on a xe at 18, 1 years driving, no claims no convictions but i've been on my mums insurance.

as i said, try not to laugh... what about other people ? i've hear about a few 19yr olds no claims for ?1200ish.

jst trying to think of all alternatives.

p.s i plan to put a 2.0 in in a year or so anyways

May as well do that if you can get insurance, or the 1600 8v if you can't...

yep, i worked out i could probably put a 2.0 in for ?700-800ish, n then pay some stupid fcking premium n spend about the same amount as i would have done building the 1.4

anyone know of a good place to get a qoute, what do i qoute ? what do i say the engine is out off as i've heard that if you qoute a Cav it comes out cheaper than saying an Astra GTE because of the sporty GTE badge ? dunno if that's true

i had a qoute once for an Evo 6 at 18.

the car was on autotrader for ?22,500ono. Tesco qouted me an amazing ?21,000!!! thats with 2 insurance claims tho :?: how fcuking mad is that.

A guy a while back got quoted ?800 when he was 18 or summin on a 2ltr 16v nova, company was called frazzle or summin, someone will have the number....

0-60 is 1 minute, and 0-62 is N/A haha

im 18 and have just gave my brother the number to get me a quote on a xe, ill let you know when i find out the price!

just come of the phone to adrian flux, who my mate is insured his xe with and they said they wouldnt even give me a quote till im 19 :(

i had 6 points, 1 claim and a modified xe at 19. Was same price as i was paying for an sr.

flux and HIC polcies have always been for 19+

i'm 19 next month so i need to find insurance cheap also what the biggest engine i can be insured on reasonably

I had a Valver @ 20 for ?1000 a year

get an XE, and t/p/f/t @ 18 if u can.

all nova's that have claims against, the insurer will "try" to write of because of age! no piont havin f/c, nova's r just mechano neway, if u smash the front end, just unbolt and replace!

19 936 1st policy been driving 2 yrs tho
