1.2 SPI tuning guide CLICKYME
1.2 8v tuning guide ALSO CLICKYME
Both worth a read throughout both threads ;)
everything in them is going to cost some money tho
Strip the body to a bare shell, leave the stuff that you need to drive it, and a seat. Then chop the roof off and bob tail it.
polish it there is 10 bhp lol
Drop in a 13sb
look what i reeled in, its a southie :p
Make sure the ign and fueling is spot on, a little retune makes a big difference, the best thing you can do that doesn't cost anything.
If you can afford the £15, give it a service lol.
such a helping forum...
^^^ to be fair fella it aint goin to happen its a 1.2 :)
have you thought about stripping it out? (just leave front seats n dash in?
do you drive around with a car full? etc
Jeeeeeebus, I think there has been almost a dozen "how do I choon my 1.2" threads in the past 2 weeks.
The article threads and a good search are about the limit of what you can/can't do with bolt on bits from other GM's then there is the spend big money route to maybe get you near the same power as a bog std 1.6 (the cash you will spend will be nearly enough to get an XE to 250bhp lol )
Sorry mate but what did you expect? Donations of free parts? Without spending cash, your not going to get massive gains, stripping it out is about your limit. "for speed, add lightness"
Bin the 1.2 there is no replacement for displacement
seriously, learn to use what power there actually is.. try keeping up as much momentum through corners, you'd be surprised just how quick cross country a 1.2 nova can be.. it will never win a traffic light grandprix
to put it into perspective... one night i drove a 1.2 std carb 4 speed nova on std wheels, tyres, suspension... 75 miles in 55 mins, and none of it was on motorways.
