Some of the better pics from the thread.
Looks like a fair bit of efforts going into it, is it still ongoing then? Are the running the 4x4 off the impreza as well??
That looks pretty cool! Reminds me of the Scooby-underneath-Firenza-body I saw at a recent RetroRides meet.
yep it's on-going, looking at it all of the scooby floor pan has been used. He want to runa 350bhp wrx engine and 4wd.
get him on here :thumb:
Tidy.
A friends EK Civic is looking similiar ish to that at the minute.

there only crap because they can get oil starvation to the 4th cylinder as its far away from the pump. otherwises bullet proof, and a **** to change spark plugs on the 16v engine and a bitch to do head gaskets it to, i know ive had to do one!!! was poooQuote:

i certainly agree, itds just made doing asll framing and ****, its built for 4x4 then. but space framed like one on here will be light, which is win, just the transfer box's are a bit ****e on the 4x4 c20letsQuote:

UK Scooby engines are a bit weak, so jdm STI ftw.
/\ how come?? is it an emissions thing?? as the original engines are basically the same. the yanks reckon subaru engines are good for 300k+ miles.
my mates a subaru tech and i used to work at the garge aswell. if the engines are well looked after they last well. customers that treat them well n bring them in for every service usually have no problems and easily see huge milages.
Looks pretty intersting imo, would be good to see it finished.
iain
The english engines are weaker due to cast pistons etc iirc.Quote:

Prft its not an evo engine so its not even good bloody poobarus.. prft
Looks like its comming along mind, and im sure it could be chassis twisting fun I really hope they do some chassis work, the torque will really kill that poor little nova.
....then got limited to 112mph. LMFAOQuote:

It still has a nova floor pan/chassis. They split the chassis legs under hard driving with a C20XE with 140lbf... Imagine what 350/350 would do to the poor thing.Quote:

Next time, I will look at the pictures and take 100% notice before posting stupid comments... apologies...
Still a ****ty poobaru prft...
lol at rexy. Progress is slow on the wip, but iirc he runs his own business too.
Well doing a project like that you know hes not on the doll lol.Quote:

Should be. All JDM cars are (or were)/should be limited to 112mph. Its not hard to delimit them though.
Mind you, all JDM models are "supposed" to be 276bhp. Its usually EU/UK models which are higher power (see Supra, 3000GT). Again, its usually not hard to swap the odd bit to get the power.
10 years ago, the imprezza was the chariot of the gods...... why does everyone call them names now?
ps. i think this will be a brilliant build.
