marks slow progress on his sr!

i decided to make a new thread since my old one is full off ideas for wheels ect!!

basicly ive bought 2 new doors waiting on 2 mint wings ect ect ect!!

so here's what weve done!!

rubbed it down and primerd it!!

also we filled a few slight chips in the paint mainly on the edge off the door!!

syarted to hit it with the wight paint but im not shure its the right shade ive had it by the car and im not impressed but i can be re done if its not right!

just going back out to slap another layer off white on then start to add the grey at the bottom off the door when its dry!! having to paint the grey as i dont see there being much point putting vinyl on then taking it off for a full respray later in the year!!

why didnt u just take door handle off mate?

got the one that on my nova atm that will be used!!

getting there slowly but shurely!! ill do the rest off the grey at the bottom off the nova next week some point and ill be fixing the breaks ect in the next few days!!

What colour of grey is that? I was thinking about painting the bottom half of my SR rather than fitting vinyl.

thanks for the comments lads!! i got it matched mate so im not shure i dont think its quite right though so im going back and getting them to make me another batch off glacier white they matched it to my wing but it looks a shade lighter oh well it will get sorted!!

and muzzy its u-pol medium grey plastic paint i was going to just do it untill i get vinyl but im really happy with the colour i think i may just use it after ive had the full respray!!

Just noticed your reply regarding the paint colour, cheers for that. I think I will just paint mine rather than put on new vinyl.

i painted mine and its the colour of the vinyl and texted lol

Getting confused by all the colours I am noting down, what colour did you paint yours/what paint did you use for textured finish.

no problems mate that u-pol mid grey did the trick im probrably using that instead off vinyl whei i have it resprayed ill just use my gm bootlid vinyl and thats it!!

i dont know what it is mate hes a ex vaux painter so knew what it should be i had it wrote down once lol

i may go to that guy wayne aswell i dont know im considering a few things atm!!

oh and muzzy dont worry about the thread its fine im happy to help! and if using my thread helps then so be it :)

I think spraying is maybe the best option to avoid it fading, I may get the pillar vinyl's replaced by paint too. Only downside is that I can't cover up my rusty doors with paint lol

i think it is mate im getting the pillar's sprayed it will be the best way and it hopefully wont chip as easy as the vinyl!!

need to redo the fuel pipes since i bodged it as i didnt have enough pipe and a few other bits then its mot time again!!

That looks very clean and original - I would have definately gone down this kind of route if mine had been any kind of spec (ie not a merit lol)

i will be thanks matey!! it does eat fuel but f*ck it beacase it sounds so good lol and yea ive got one but im afraid she's not for sale!!

and i keep thinking about putting them back in but meh ive got a kid on way now and if there in the loft it keeps the kid and mess out off her lol but yea it does sound the mutts nutts lol

and balley77vaux yes mate!! i took me and my 14 stone mate out in it and we filmed me nailing it to about 80!!! and it was still much quicker with us both in!! i have a vid off just me in the car doing about 80 with the standard carb on and the vid with us both in with the 40's is much quicker!!!

got some pics to add up when i cba lol resprayed the drivers door for a better paint match!! striped that properly this time not just quick bodging it as i needed it and wont use it differant colours lol!!

got some pics off her on the rollers!! will have a vid or two when i go back to get as much power from the 40's as i can!!

ha ha thanks to you i have it!!! its in rotherham mate autotronicks he's called was a top bloke knocked money off for me and the lot id say go there pall its a bit remote and hard to find though!!
