I'm meant to be picking up a brand new in the box set of Bilstein shocks and front springs...
I don't know what to look for but I've been told to look for yellow shocks ?
What else should I be looking out for ?
Cheers, Vaughan :)

make sure there for a nova perhaps!!!!!!!!!! lol
Aye they are lol Nova/Corsa I think
Brand new in box
That's all I know
There will be a B-part number on the sticker - you want B8 or B10 - they are the pricey ones!
if they are inverted piston type then WIN :d
HOW MUCH DO THEY WANT AND WHERE ARE THEY ????/lol
So I'll look at the stickers and see what number they are ? I'll remember B8 or B10's :)
There not that far from me and there quite cheap - I hope that's not a bad thing that their cheap...I can always say no I suppose :)
Do not get them if there the black ones they are crap
No problem :) I'll keep that in mind
I hope there yellow lol
i've heard that back bilsteins are more like std shockers, yellow ones are the more desired ones that are used in competition
The yellows should also have hooooge pistons, compared to std ones
Nice one cheers :) If there not yellow I'm not even looking further lol
Can you not ask the guy what they are before you go and look?
There his mates and he is wanting rid of them...Less hassle the better, it's only down the road anyway and I don't have his number
If there the right ones I'm getting them for a steal :)
Are B6s yellow or black?
And whats the difference between B8 and B10?
Sorry for the thread hi-jack.
No worrys mate, I'd like some knowledge on them as well so ask away :)
If the springs are Red & have 60-140 on them, walk away also. These & black dampers = an appalling driving experience.
Yellows do exist with a slimmer piston, the 'sprintline' dampers, which are good & way better than the blacks which kit form the above mentioned 'TERRA or Pi' springs are known as 'streetline' kit.
b6 are yellow too
So in conclusion:
Blacks are close to OEM spec and are crap.
B6s are yellow and entry level.
B8s are mid range
B10s are top of the range
Whats this about small and big pistons btw?
also get coilovers:thumb:Quote:

the previous post to me was listing the bilstein line up, i was adding that you get coilovers aswell:)Quote:

Much better that the thinner piston version and as said the black dmapers are really for OEM replacment!:thumb: Ironically i dont have any pics of the ones i have on the nova or the ones ive just fitted to the tigra, lol!!!

those front ones have replaceable inserts the same as the coilovers i have.
These are the ones you want, you cant see it but they are the large piston type as above.
