Nova GTE Track Car

Forsale is my mate's Nova 1.6 GTE track car

Used to be Flame Red but has been painted by the previous owner in a light purple colour

Has a supposed 140 BHP tuned 1600 GTE engine but I don't think it can be proven I'd need to see him if theres any printouts or that

Has a drivers bucket seat and harness, passenger Nova Sport seat and harness, Nova Sport 6-dial clocks, 3 spoke steering wheel and a bolt-in rollcage (Unsure of make)

Has some grooved brakes on the front as well IIRC and LEDA suspension all round (Coilovers on the front)

Will come with 14" Mk2 Astra SX alloys with track tyres on them

bit steep at that i would say old boy!

I can say that this car used to go well when it did the sprints & hillclimbs, would be ideal for using in those competitions with a bit of work.

Build it to the same spec and see how much it would cost - Suspension I've been told is close to £1k to buy

what would it need to be road legal again? whats it like engine wise is there much life left in it

A couple of minor bits of welding I reckon is all it would need

Engine sounds really good, no smoke or rattles either

Looks quite rough in the pictures but as a whole it's very clean - Engine bay seams are dead on, underneath is all Undersealed, boot floor is dead on :)

He only knows about a wee bit needed in the front inner wing...

He's in the middle of doing the brakes atm freeing them all off and new pads in the front I think

He said the lowest he'd take is £950

You sure its gen GTE? Cant see strut plates and the window winders look black... ;)

How was the sunroof sorted?

We had a look at it and I think the boy who had it previous to Greg had a genuine GTE and this base model shell (Rotten GTE)

Took all the good stuff from the GTE (Engine, box, loom, shafts, brakes, rear beam etc) and put it into this base model shell

It's still on the original ID so hasn't been rung or anything dodgey

Ok thanks - its just that it states that its a genuine GTE in the first post;)

Does anyone know more history of this car? Its currently in my shed getting a full rebuild
