Theyve always been cheap? You can get a K/L reg standard turbo for £1200 now.
A turbo wagon wll only fetch ITRO £900 aswell!
EDIT: Turbo 2000 is a UK model, non import, thus lower spec lol
there only cheap untill they break lol
Thats true lol the parts fetch good money on eBay (I sold a pair of STi vents for £120, only paid £20 for them lol)Quote:

At 23? How you manage that? £750 F/C for me, non clean license, 3 claims now (as opposed to 4)Quote:

I sold Colin McRae (iirc) Recaros, mesh head rest type from a classic wagon for 280 after I paid 60 lol
Plenty about if you know where to look, cadburys internals aren't my choice though lol
and you wont be cool, unless your banging it off the limiter from cold at 4am in the morning ;)
Jap 4WD has been cheap for a while tbh. And as said, when you buy it, its a £2k car; when it breaks its a £28k rally car lol
I'm waiting for decent GTOs to become cheapy cheapy :D
Theres a canny looking one around here in a local garage dude, was 1100 pounds, nice wheels too. Looked like O.Z magnesium type lolQuote:

3000 not 3300
on scoobs:
the cheap uns are cheap fer a reason. i looked at an sti l reg for 1100, it was fooked, and had a non sti lump in it. make a good track car tho. the ones to buy are still 2.5k.
a mate of mine did a std 2.0 non turbo estate. bought fer £300 as a cat d, it had fsh and 45k miles. he got a rolled sti fer £700, and combined the 2, and the std 2.0 is in my uncles split screen camper!
on gto's,
the import ones are less power than the uk's, but theres only 2000 uks registered. they like to eat headgaskets, turbos, and pistons. the other issue is bits are non existant, or very expensive. hope this helps
the first link to lomond car sales is 5 mins away from me (useless info)
Sloth pics of the split bus please mate! There's a one around here that runs a Scooby motor so they say too. My mates early bay had an Alfa T Spark in it once over lol
ill try, but its in the garage as a shell atm, mid resto! tsr do the conversion kits bud.
Wicked. Love the old Type 2's! Any pics always appreciated
Aye, I know all about GTO's, I've been trying to put myself off wanting one for about 5 years, but its not worked yet lolQuote:

yea one of my mates brothers has one (GTO) its mint and rapid.
ive only been 160 in it but it would still go i think hes spent a total of 5k on the engine.
You open the bonnet and all you can see is chrome aswell.
That does look quite mean to be fair I was kinda thinking more asian persuation styling.
My boss has a scooby sport powered vw camper - unfortunatly I dont have pics as he only ever drives his gash drug dealer edition disco. Ill see if I can get a pic of the pic!
p.s. Do you play tf2 rj?
Awhatnow? lolQuote:

I bloke I used to work with had a Mitsi 3000, it was a really nice car until something major broke, I think he sold it because the repair would cost more than it was worth.
Thats because they're cheap as chips to buy lolQuote:

PFFT thats nothing, try getting the VG30DETT engine and box in and out on ;)
I've been eyeing a Sub for the Hills, a bit of Closed road staging and misbehaving. STi RA Editions can be bought for like €1200 on Jap plates straight off the Docks so it is tempting, but as previously said, reliability issues do arise, in which case buying 2 may be the best option.
how much prodrive ones fetching these days, lots of imprezas going cheap over here cause of the recession, only thing is they have all been rallied around country roads and hard to get a good one,
Is the STi RA the lightweight classic version Dod? We can't buy straight from the docks here :( I used to work down there doing ro-ro stuff with POV imports etc and they won't sell from there. Your docks are much better lolQuote:

Yeah Liam, the light wieght ones. Strictly speaking you cant really buy them off the docks, strictly speaking that is. Nothing illegal, but you need to know someone that knows someone to do it.
Liam, chat?
On way Vauxman
That's because they are sh1t. lol
No, that's unfair, but they are a bit too common for my liking. If you want a car of that type I'd say an Evo is always a better option.
^ Yeah, Evo all the way for me too. They hold their money better though, even the Proton based 1-3 lol
The Evos are by all means the more superior car but Scoobs are cheap Power which is the only thing thats attracting me to them. I was nearly killed in one before so I never likes them but for the money, I'd have one. Also, the sound is lovely.
Theres an awesome old Legacy around here with the B4? engine, quad cam TT job, the burble from it is epic. Never heard it being abused but as said you gotta love that boxer sound :)
The Phase1 cars are **** though.. Wouldnt waste my money.Quote:

For example, you go and buy some track rod ends for a 1992 cavalier they are peanuts.. But you want track rod ends for a 1992 Impreza you'll be paying the same price as the guy who wants them for his 2005 impreza.
Depends what floats your boat.. The Scooby is more of a drivers car.Quote:

So will this method make a Nova "burble"? :cool:Quote:
