where the hell is everything!, thats impressive
Where all the loom that looks well good like that
Thats why he has never posted! He is to busy enjoying it
I think I just made a mess of me pants, that looks awesome! Wouldn't have though its finished yet, due to lack of front bumper and tax disc, or is it just a track car?
that is immense loving that a damn lot!!!!
the first time he drove it was up the strip LMAO, 22second run I saw. Take it something wasn't quite right.
Its as good in the flesh as it is on here! Truly is amazing!
Looks absolutely awsome :)
Mirrors look spot on as well, I want a set
that engine bay is something else. hes certainly raised the bar
3rd time ive looked.. ive only just noticed the 'austin' on the rocker cover lol.
Last time it was the stubby mirrors i missed..
Looks great
Love the spark plug cover. Thats truly original. Not to say the car isnt but its a sweet touch. Overall looks good though its missing the fr bumper obviously.
Get some pics updated in the WIP thread Austin!
It is jaw dropping. Fantastic.
That was indeed the first outing in the nova.
Cheers for the comments. :thumb: Took many late nights over the fast few weeks to get it sorted for USC...up till 12:30 thursday night/fri morning when we left for the pod..lol
Lol at my 22sec 1/4 Paul...I know yours was flying!!
Had some major steering problems - need to re-visit my bottom arm / steering arm connections as I had to raise the car up to get it out of the field and there is far too much bump-steer, so tracking was way out; it was going in all directions up the strip....
Hoepfully going to take a look over the next few weeks....and hopefully update the WIP if I get time!!
:thumb:
Errrr, where the hells ya brake servo and brake pipes and reservior???
Nice work cos if you can stun and confuse people just from a small shot of the bay youve done a cracking job lol
It will be the Corsa servo and MC setup. Crazy stuff, first outing down the 1/4 mile! Was genuinely really really impressed with the car mate, as were my mates who were standing round it for about 20 mins lmao. Well done, looks fantastic :)
Yea i did see this try to go up the strip
looked like you couldnt even get the power down to get a good run.
Must be running some big bhp in that lump
Nice one Austin mate - You re-making any of the shorty mirrors ?
Looks simply stunning.
LOL @ the bay, it looks like youve just plonked the engine in and haven't got round to fitting all the ugly bits yet(coolant tank etc) lol
Top work
I bet theres plenty of things hidden under than scuttle cover then.
wow that bay is impressive, i was thinking exactly what Adam said!
i saw this and loved it :thumb:
i also saw paul's that was good to:thumb:
****ing awsome that
cant wait to see it at a few show's..
IT DEFO NEED'S A MAG FEATURE SOON!!!!!
is the plug cover the one off the blue nova, or have you made another for this one?
Thats insane!
Top quality stuff, loving the clean [read empty] bay. Brilliant :thumb:
that looks amazing and the rocker cover says my name too!loving it
That is truely awesome, I think it looks awesome with everything missing, It's hard to believe you managed to hide it all though, its hard enough just making a normal LET bay look tidy!!
Hope your loving LET power too, they are insane :)
Loving this!! A lot of thought and time has gone into this! Took us long enough to suss out how to hide all my wiring and vac pipes on my Turbo Nova. I suspect making this engine bay look empty has been made easier with the Rad being in the boot and running a Corsa Servo if i remember right..
looks 1st class.
must be my favourite project of recent times anyway.
lovely.
looking forward to more in the WIP section
Hats off to you Austin - certainly pushing the boundaries when it come to fresh looking nova's :thumb: - Can't wait to see this one in the flesh :)

Cheers again lads.
I didn't think it would do a good 1/4 anyway, seeing as I had literally driven it out the barn on to the trailer, then from the trailer round to the line up for the 1/4...loved just cruising it though! And yes, loving the LET power even though I havn't hacked it about yet!!
Cheers Fearless...get them photos off of mates, or on the net? ... spoke to loads of people who were wondering past where we were camped up.....
Lots of peeps thought it was a Belmont lol
The looms have been overbraided and extended to go down both inner wings to keep it tucked away.
And yeah, Air flow meter behind that shield (which should hopefully protect it from the heat of the turbo). Not an ideal angle, but it'll do!
Not many shows left now, and I'll be at Bestival on the Trax w/e :tard:
Hopefully get up the pod in it a few times before the year it up...
is this the same austin that had theblue, spaceframed, xe'd rwd?
Yes it is.Quote:
