i just got a court summons through today, for not producing a form i produced in january!! i had a rotton ford escort, possably even more rotton than normal escorts, and i got pulled for my rear arches, went to an MOT place got it stamped, blah blah, produced, goes down to the station today, and they said that theres no record of it!! ive lost the form they gave me back too!! so how many pints or fine, or ban you recon ill get for their ****up, and do i have any rights??
british justice system is f3cking excellant isnt it , have no idea mate about fines , surely you could go to you local test centre and see if they have it on record ? .
I take it you no longer have said Escort? If not, then erm, your pretty shagged. You'll have to go to court and contest it but if plod has no record of this form, then from my experience, they'll deny it all and it'll blow up in your face.
Anyone + Dog vs Plod, the latter will win unless you have water tight evidence to the contrary!

Drivers license with start date of before offence, MOT certificate which covers date of offence, and valid insurance certificate which covers date of offence should be adequate (I think they can check the insurance database to see if the car was covered). You'll need the receipt to prove you actually did produce the documents though.

right, now for the serious bit.....
Work out how much wages you will lose by being at court instead of working, plus the cost of actually travelling there & parking charges... even the cost of refreshments whilst there, & write it out so that you can actually get compensation for being inconvenienced. cos the law always push for court costs.
