Hi looking into buying an Astra on about a 55 0r 56 plate i want a diesel but im not sure whether to go for the 1.7 or 1.9 engine has anyone owned or owns one at the mo? would just like abit of feedback to make my mind up:tard:

1.9 150 is the best of the derv engines, performance and ecconomy, higher resale value but it comes down to budget at end of the day
1.7s are ok but i would go for the 1.9 8v as there less problematic than the 16v!
between £5000 and £6000
The 1.9 can be mapped to 200 according to Total Vauxall
was looking at the sri version
plug and play box from the like of andy at DTUK will easy see you on your way to 200 bhp on a 150.
I like the sound of that, what spec is the 150 is it an sri?Quote:
