Right, before we go into detail - the car will end up with an XE. I know the XE makes more power blah blah blah.
What difficulties am I going to have putting it in a nova? Ive done an XE transplant before so is there any difference?

The immobiliser system is an issue, if its a 1995on engine. Not much of a problem though.
Also you have to use a XE bottom alternator pully held on with a couple of bolts(as the eco pully has a different bolt pattern but a few line up)
Rest is pretty much same as xe
use a carlton 2.0 8v pulley from a c20ne as these fit and are single v. alt adjuster use a 2.0 8v early type adjuster, use the 2.0 8v alt and bottom bracket. wirings easy, pipework is easy apart from the heater pipes. hope this helps. oh and theyre a good lumpthe ecu limits them very badly. remap and simple tuning helps. dbilas inlets are apparently really good for 150 bhp. exhaust mani is massively restrictive.
adam / sloth - how would u go about ditching the PAS pump setup ? or is it a straightforward unbolt and remove job.
Yeah.
Remove the belt/pump etc.
cheers.
one more thing, depending on what arrangements shaggy has with the guy thats taking the vectra after the engines been taken out. can the vectra's fuel pump be wired in like any other ?
Depends if the pump is intank or inline.
Lovely stuff cheers guys. Ill try and find out what year the veccy is. I take it the gearboxs is F20 and driveshafts are the same as XE, I cant remeber off the top of my head something like cav 1.6 inner CVs with GTE outers?
think its an R reg - '98 ish
