Cheers Spud!
small update this eves then guys. With a little help from one of our panel guys the front arch lips were carefully rolled over yesterday after work. Just like the last set we did for the red one I didnt want any filler in them. A good few coats of high build primer and a block level and I know they will be perfect and retain the panel strength etc. The lips are completely flushed across the majority of the arch tapering off at either side for a standard look.........

With both wing lips rolled I then dressed both inside and outside of the areas where the lips had been rolled and spent a while sanding the outers so any imperfections were removed before they are primed........

You can see the taper at either end pretty well from this angle.......

Lastly the insides were re etch primed and neatly sealed up and left to dry..........

The part at either end of the taper has been filled full of sealer so theres no way for moisture to get in.

Once the sealer is dry they will be primed and the insides will have a coat of overpaintable stonegaurd on them. I also found the previous shots that I had mislaid of part vinyl removal. Main pillar vinyl off and cleaned up on both sides. Can you see the colour difference of the post to the quarter? The post will be original so I will be using this to colour match from for the best possible match........

Sills and lower quarters also show excellent condition behind the vinyl.................

Thats it for now hopefully more at the weekend time pending! Thanks for reading.
Nick.
Nicely coming together Nick, I do enjoy your updates they're inspiring but also very annoying as I know I don't have the patience and storage to accomplish such greatness :)
Perfect as always! Loving the engine bay!
Cheers fella...... Im a little limited myself space wise Hence why sometimes parts end up in our spare room/office or loft! Much to the missus amusement lolQuote:

Nick.
Plug cover with polished letters would look nicer IMO
Always thought flat/plain plug covers looked a tad boring in the bay.
love this car, and i love the attention to detail. good job nick
Thats the thing though Ad........ Boring does equal subtlety most of the time which is how I want this to be. No bling this time round!Quote:

Just think that it will make the bay look a bit more interesting without the plain plug cover.
Only my opinion though obviously :)
Weren't you toying with doing the boost pipe Nick? Imo would look a lot better in the new blue/grey, just checked back with the feature and I'm impressed with the work you've done in such a short time
