After the prime up i wanted to sorted something before i painted it so i cracked on with the job in hand which, was fitting the rear turret/suspension top mounting locating type things as so
This is what i had to fit
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats202.jpg
I drilled through the first skin and in to the second so the weld would hole the top mount on and the two skins together

http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats205.jpg
Welded them on and cleaned it up

Then i got on with the fun filled task of rubbing down the inside of the car - after the prime up had came out so well it was a bit disheartening rubbing it all back....

http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats210.jpg
This is the colour!
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats211.jpg
And this is after many hours of ball ache - hasn't turned out great but its not terrible

With the inside of the car now ready to start being put back together i thought i would crack on with getting the cage ready to fit
i built it all up and rubbed it down ready to be panted
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats215.jpg
then hit it with some matt black
some mid paint shots
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats219.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats220.jpg
And the finished result

Much better now and it will look really good with the green imo.
To fit the cage i obviously needed the car back on its wheels so to speak but before i flip it back over i needed to sort out the strengthening plates (2mm btw) for the lower panel as its easier to get to them with the car on its side.
So i cleaned the area up
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats217.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats218.jpg
Then welded the plates in place and drilled the holes out
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats222.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats223.jpg
And gave it a quick acid etch
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats224.jpg
I could now flip the car back over and get some better pics of the paint inside the car (i will make a better effort with the outside )

http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ndseats226.jpg
Its not that bad really - i fitted the black pugs back into the floor of the shell also
