Then start fitting and building everything up...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ginerefit5.jpg
Peter had a great way of doing the fuel lines. I hadn't even thought of this.. Take one old line and take a part.. (even polished the jubliee clips again.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...inerefit23.jpg
Everything needs a clean off, not happy with the gear shifter bit tho, so think i'm gonna remove it and paint it. There are alot of bolts that need removing cleaning then either, painting or polishing...
Big big thanks to Dan and Peter. And to Dave.
good progress benn. the underside looks very nice indeed :thumb:
u need far more rep than possible, my car is never gonna be as shiny on top as yours is underneath! and mines just been resprayed!
I cant wait to shake your hand and see your car at the shows this year. :thumb:
looks sweet benn, how often do you clean that exhaust? lol still looks as good (or better as you had it polished) as it did when you had it made.
Just Epic mate.
iain
What no pics of engine fitting? lol That FMIC cutout looks handy for putting tools on :) Nice work
i reckon he was sick because he had to fit it the wrong way so he didnt want pics :thumb:Quote:

Going be a nightmare keep clean, especially the exhaust lol

Been a while since i checked this, looking as sweet as ever bud!
how much for some of your motivation? Only need a bit take paypal?
Looks great as usual, hopefully see it at the shows this year if i go to any!
exhaust is awesome! Looking good Benn (still no small army man)
Work looks awesome, its comming togeather well!
One word - sweet!
Looks awesome, the underside of your car is better than any panel on mine :(
This is without a doubt one of the best nova's ever!!
Keep up the excellent work Benn, your doing a fantastic job!
Thank you very much.Quote:

I'll be at all the shows so come say hello...
Cheers dude, tbh. I've never cleaned the system bar the rear box. It was very stained with oil and dirt and the center box was badly scratched where it grounds out.. The polishers did a fantastic job with it. It looks better than new. I'm gonna wax the tits out of it before use.Quote:

Looks absolutely fantastic. It's fecking spanking! I'm inspired by your commitment to your car benn. Truly stunning although I can see it being impossible to keep clean and use it everyday like you do. The colour codded gearbox is my favourite thing, it's just mental! Some chromed engine mounts would just finish this off!
Are you keeping the cav turbo wheels? I think they suit it with them being polished just keeps with the shiney theme. Could you get some stretched tyres for it? Maybe that would kind of give you a bit of a euro look.
I cant thank you enough for you kind and very nice works, it really does make the hard work worth it.
I have been thinking of chroming the front engine mount.. But getting on the inside faces would be hard, so thought about just painting it bumper grey...
I have enough stuff to keep it clean, believe me..lol
Wheel wise, i still want something else, i just don't think the turbo rims give it enough... Show i guess.. There are a few wheels i like but it's finding on that is right... That is proving to be really hard.. I'd love some old school BBS, or something.. Maybe some Brocks or something...
I don't mind stretch tyres, but i'd do that for clearance over looks, so no real point at the mo.. And as i like to jump it and and rag the ar$e out of it i'd be a bit worried on really full on cornering with a stretch...
that exhaust looks the tits
Thank you Matt, looks better now the rear box is ok.
Got the fuel lines all sorted, cut down and bits. Had enough to re do this bit... (yes the boot floor isnt yet blue, but it will be)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...inerefit27.jpg
Need to clip it fully to the floor tho... (you can see i scratched the paint on the tank)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...inerefit28.jpg
Exhaust is now all fitted and finished (bar a clean)
Removed the gear stick to paint too.
Then started messing about at the front of the car...
Oh... :(
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...inerefit21.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...erefit23-1.jpg
Needs a bit of a re think... Paint pics coming.
Seriously this has to be one of if not the best Nova about Benn
Makes me want to start again lol
What's the crack with the boost pipes then ? You havnt changed anything down there have you ?
It's where the mount is now is the prob. As it's right in the way...lol
Thank you very much Edd. :)
Apsolutley fantastic benn like people have said it looks cleaner on the underside than most on the panels lol looks better then when it first left the factory imo.
As usual Benn, looks top notch. Is that the exhaust welsh coast customs made?
Shame about engine mount\boost pipe issue!
Got a bit more done today...
My pipe... lol
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...buildup3-1.jpg
While the cables where off i thought i should replace them both... This is why..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...buildup2-1.jpg
New ones..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...buildup1-1.jpg
With the cables fitted and all adjusted i move to building up my chrome drive shafts... My work station..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...buildup6-1.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/buildup7.jpg
New bearing on the equal bit of shaft.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...buildup8-1.jpg
Took some hammer work to get the shaft in to the bearing, my deadblow hammer is now dead.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...buildup9-1.jpg
New inner cv joint.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...uildup11-1.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../buildup10.jpg
Filled it with grease and fitted the outer part of the shaft.. New cv boot came in the kit, but used these stupid clips.. Normally not bad, but the bit you crush just wouldn't crush.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...uildup12-1.jpg
Built the other end up, use polished jubilee clips this time.. All lined up..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...uildup14-1.jpg
Then took the other side apart again, wasn't happy with the clips.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../buildup21.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../buildup21.jpg
Fitted more polished jubilee clips instead. (all four lined up)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../buildup18.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...uildup16-1.jpg
Built the other shaft up, till i found i have a non abs cv joint, which wont work, so had to stop.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../buildup20.jpg
