Never read this thread before. Awesome car to start with and awesome work going on there. I look forward to progress in the new year.
Cheers, currently the only hold up is getting my seat as it's £500 and doesn't come up 2nd hand, as soon as I have that, it's all steam ahead.
Nice work - it looks very serious.
Very very busy recently so little time for the Nova unfortunately, but managed to rebuild my quickrack...
Take 1 new recon Rack..

The internals from the old rack, fit new bearing etc..

And then rebuild with all the new bits, giving me a fully uprated and rebuilt quickrack..

Best part of £600 including side mounts for the 1 seat.
This means it can go back to the weld shop for the seat rails, rear harness bars, final door bar. The steering column, pedals, handbrake and gearstick positions can all be finalised.
Then it can go off for shell prep and paint.
£600 for one seat? Funk.
Yeah since there is more interest in track days etc, Ive noticed the price on seats has gone mad!
I bought both (SET X2 SEATS/MOUNTS) my cobeau sprints with alloy side mounts back in 2007 for the sum of £435 posted, now your looking at that price for just one!
Good seat mate, i would love to upgrade mine, but as said cost way too much now..
Scott
As Scott says, the prices have risen, but that price includes Alloy side mounts and the seat is XL width too. :thumb:Quote:

lol yes..
A note of thanks goes to one of my bosses who said "You said you wanted a battery cable from a Beemer, so I kept one for you", very kindly he removed it from a 7 series scrapper for me...Well, turns out there are 3 together and rather long too..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...n/0e78d6f1.jpg
All 3 run from one end of my Vectra Estate to the other end so will be plenty long enough to move the battery to the boot of the Saloon.
There are 3 cables and 3 thickness's and as you can see from the next picture the thickest cable is nearly as thick as my thumb.

Oh is that you? I've met you before... lol
That can't be good..lol
haha was at Combe a few years ago.
Seen your pic about saying you where building a Nova, just didn't know it was you..lol
Ah...'that Combe'.....lol
I can't help thinking the Cesaros just look a little small now...

So I have tried a 16Inch wheel with 195/45 tyre.
Fits the rear fine.

And will fit over the Wilwoods on the front too. (Disc is the standard 1.2 Nova one as I only needed to test the Caliper.)
