You got it properly mapped yet and had it on the rollers?
Not yet! Done a bit of faffing with the cam timing and mapping to get it running better but it does need a proper going over to get the most out of it.Quote:

good job done there mate
Does look neat after all your wire hiding etc. Needs red silicone hoses instead of blue tho! :d
Spot on and neatly done al,
back in derby in a few weeks so will have to come see this again
cheers chaps! done a bit more with the fuelling tonite, leaned off the needles and opened up the jets...... i'm now running 2mm and it will still take a little more i think.... save some for another time!
Sell the 8V lump & put that fueling on a proper engine ;D
But I like 8 valve smallblocks
so your liking the new cam now al ?
not sure on the coilpack mounting tho tbh mate
I agree with Damper, it should be hidden under the winglol
im not keen on the coil on display either - so next job will be to make one up that sits at the back of the engine i think.....
also thinking firewall may have to go?
i do two matey!! looks bang on!!Quote:

add this:

get this:
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...a/IMGP0804.jpg
Rinse and repeat for the other side and the back and you get this:

its seemed to have made more difference on the back but the car still sits right so meh (a tiny bit of rake, just right).
lowering it that bit more and cranking up the dampers (ive turned them up to half way) has made a big difference.
easier to see the amount its dropped by in the garage so heres the gap before:
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...a/IMGP0798.jpg
and after:
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...a/IMGP0799.jpg
Decided after that to just quickly swap over the drivers side engine mount, so whipped the old one off, ssat it next to the new one.... hang on.... spot the difference...
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...a/IMGP0819.jpg
being as i already fiddled with the mount to get the engine level this wasnt gonna work, so found a bit of decent thickness bar kicking about - drilled a few holes (bloody hard stuff as well)...
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...a/IMGP0823.jpg
to get this:
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...a/IMGP0825.jpg
bolted up lovely:
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...a/IMGP0827.jpg
has made such a difference to the noise inside the car, its like ive fitted another silencer... or a different engine - will get the rest fitted at some stage, but no rush now.
looks beter lower matey much beter!! also im liking the hilman imp on your poster lol
cheers mate. the poster is a trabant tho! theres an imp on the pic above it tho - how did you know that?
finally got it lowered (slightly)
bet it makes a huge difference ?
yeah it does mate - it feels much more confident when chucking it about - and the engine mount - feels like a different car!Quote:

Looks good, what make were the springs you got?
Wonder why the solid mount was different - made for a big block mount?
im told theyre hottuning/jamex ones - they (unscientifically) feel stiffer than the spax ones that came off and definately feel stiffer on the car.Quote:

Tidy mush... Like your screen wash bottle.
Evilbay - 11 quid chap - do need to put a one way valve in the washer line tho cause it takes a couple of seconds to pump from all the way back there.... U legalised the nova yet?Quote:
