Nice work Ade! how did you attached the outerwing to the inner wing?
outer wing is secured with bolts - 8 along the top, one on the bottom under the door, 2 inside in the footwell to pull the wing edge in (along the door edge) and 2 at the front to join to the slam panel at the front. before fitting I applied a nice bead of seam sealer all along the jpins to keep the water out!
Awesome mate! Don't let it die :) You remind me of me before the weight of thr world crushed my spirit and enthusiasm lol
ok i feel stupid, i ment the rear arches . . . how did you attache the outer panel with the inner panel? it seems so hard to use a migwelder . . .Quote:

lol Nice one Ade, cracking progress mate
You didnt weld the inner and outer arches together? those spotwelds do provide a good bit of strength and rigidity to the car mate, you should drill holes and spotweld through them to tie it all together. How's the car going now? back in use as the daily driver?
aye back in use - tbh I'll prob plug weld them however been advised that using a decent joint sealer (I used liquid weld) is just as effective as welding summut like arches. theres not that much force running through them and the very slight movement is catered for in the flexibility of the sealant I used
However see below re future plans...

Gave the car a ruddy good clean inside and out today, fixed my speakers (werent working properly) after dissassembly the other week and cleaned the underside of my bonnet which was black with sh1te.
Also chassis blacked the rear arch ready for shutzing.
I'd stared to notice a strange whistling sound coning from my engine over the last week and traced it to somewhere around the alternator... a problem was a brewing...
Also took the time to make up highly accurate illustrations of the rear graphics (Nova 1.3SR) as well as take a trace of the Vauxhall Square badge off the front.
