Good to know!
Andy that sounds close to this stuff.
Did the last few bits today. Really had enough of this job so i've been lacking in interest.
In the week i cut the end off the chassis as it flats out on to the floor, as the fuel line clip next to it had some surface rust on the base of it. So i was worried it had gone under the chassis to floor join.
Damaging it removing it, but glad i did as it had rusted, but hadn't gone thru. So was able to grind it clean, rust treat it and make this..

Doesn't look perfect (pic from mid make) But not its on the car its hard to tell i've made it up.

But today i've etched primed the floor, pics from mid way, front edge has been cleaned up too.

From there i got the shafts stripped down and outer cvs fitted so the bearing stay tight.. Would the cv joint come off... Like funk would it..
Bring on Mr hammer.

Aside from the underside you got much left to do before show season?
Put the car back together. Get it all set up with the ph2, fuelling, and bits so i know its happy healthy and running with the most power.
Wanna repaint the roof as there's a few sink marks in it i can see.
Do the same in the rear arches (so they are body colour)
Still fancy new wheels too...
Hi Benn have'nt you got bored yet ???????????????????? lol
^^^ get back to digging up cat crap you lol
Grant, yes very tbh. But only with doing the shi*ty jobs.

Nice one dude!
Cheers guys, updates at the mo are a bit boring i know...
Any is better than none :)
True, so to day i did this...
First time it's been out side since end of Oct.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9550.jpg
Now you can see the level of filth i've been working in..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9551.jpg
Doesn't look to bad.. Then sweeping it up looks worse..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9552.jpg
Got the battery out, wing off, servo and mc out, give the other side of the engine bay a wipe off. All ready to go to the body shop.
After clearing up in the garage and moving stuff about so i had some bench space to work on i started to strip the servo down to bare metal to re paint.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9555.jpg
Under a few layers of paint. All bare and now been etch primed and high build primerd to get a nice smooth finish. But finish it in black or grey? hhhmmm
Ever had the mc to servo join leak? This will be why!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9553.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9554.jpg
The std finish is like a power coat, add on that other layers of paint and you get a crap seal and leakage. So its all cleaned up now.
Also while i was on a roll. I paint my Zlet pump up in bumper grey too (crap pic)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9556.jpg
Picked the sump up Friday after work, so i can fit the zlet pump and bits and the sump tomoz so then the bottom ends all done, just need to finish the head.
Good work!
Glad to see it back out in the sun pal. Wont be long now and you can crack on putting it all back together! :)
Nick.
