heres some links to images of some of my weight loss ideas, most of them for very little gains but oh well, havnt had time to read thru your whole thread so dont be too annoyed if its things you have already tried or arent applicable.

also things like using a heated screen to remove the heater/fan/control and piping, cutting the inner webbing off the bumpers and removing all irons, hollowing out the GSi spoiler, stripping all unused wires from the loom etc etc etc it all counts at the end of the day.
cant wait till i get a spare evening to have a look thru and see what else i can spot that might be of use, from what ive seen there seems to be a bit more method being used than on many lightweight cars!

I think cutting the complete inner rear 1/4's would lose a bit of strength wouldnt it?
i dont know just my thought
surely these strength comments are all on the provado that Novas are actually structually strong anyway lol :wtf:
Its all a waste of time anyway as he'll proabably stuff it on the first corner OllyTB style at Donny - remember that one Olz! lol There's a vid somewhere.
do i ever lol that was hilarious... ahhh well... that was another Oliver that couldn't keep up with me lol lol lol

if you rolled the car that area would be negated by the pillars around it (which in turn would be negated by the rollcage)
in a side impact that material was also fairly useless, but as there are never going to be rear passengers, and nova shells are ten a penny anyway im happy enough to ignore that.
one thing ive never seen the sense in removing is the floor mounted crossmember under the front seats, as that would im my opinion be a handy thing to have around when you skelp something side on!
