If you do it like i did you dont need the base plate - i think this would still be possible with the fire wall in place.

Cut it up and splice it with the corsa b pedal ass
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g.../engbay192.jpg
Modify the corsa ass further

http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g.../engbay197.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g.../engbay198.jpg
So it fits together like so
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g.../engbay202.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g.../engbay206.jpg
Then mod the pedal to suite
I've got the pedal assembly but the pedal itself hasn't been adjusted/straighted but to be honest, if doing it again I would doing it differently, more like James', as mine can be a biatch to get out.
That method is stronger and keeps the original supports so no flex
Mine was strong enough just very tricky to remove! I'll dig the pics out later.
Here's how I did mine....
Detach bracket from frame...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../03-07-082.jpg
Chop off brake pedal...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../03-07-084.jpg
Chop off spindle thingy retained circlip...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../05-07-081.jpg
Put all back in place and trim up your cut off brake pedal til it fits nice...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../05-07-082.jpg
Weld in place...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../06-07-089.jpg
It works fine but when you want to remove the assembly you have to slide it out to the left of the welded piece but because the frame is on a captive bolt to the bulkhead you have to pull it towards you and left and its a bit awkward. You could drill out the bolt to put a normal one in I suppose.
I copied Simps design, works well, but you don't need to bend it about or chop the bolt off you MANIAC, just slot it on the back/side like this:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/CorsaBrakeMods.JPG
Can't really see from the pic but have you slotted the bracket where it meets the bulkhead? If so - smart move! Thats why yours is nearly done and mine is way off! lol
Changed pic for a close-up so not to spam Ben's thread lol
The only problem we have Iain is that both of our setups are untested as such but as long as his battery tray area is solid I dont see any problems.
To be fair, James' way was untested too as he got too scared to drive his and sold it I believe?
Craig (green) did about 6k on his corsa pedal set up with no probs
Yer that's correct Simps a bit like your avoidance tactics...cut the **** out of it and leave it that way so you can't drive it. Besides I've got another one and that will probably be finished befor yours lol
Least he started itQuote:

Christ you two, your both as bas as each other. You've both build awesome cars then stopped. And not used them.
I'm not sure if i wanna do it, as much as i love an empty bay i don't know if it will be too far and look crap..
Off to look at my pics...
Cheers for the pics tho, they do help to see what i'd need to do and that.
Tbh i'm not sure if i like it with out the servo in there..
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...p/100_2546.jpg
Yeah looks empty but think its a bit too empty..
Iain did this.. Not sure...
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23.../crap/Benn.jpg
I've been looking thru my pics, there's a few that have been colour coded and even polished, which might be a way to go...
The std servo etc is damn ugly! Must be someway to make it look sexual.
Tarting it up, paint/polish..Quote:

that looks awesome, obs you will be able to see the steering rack/chrome drive shafts abit more as well!Quote:

See i'm not sure... Dont want it to be too empty.. Plus the probs with the Corsa power in the servo/mc.
Corsa MC is stronger than the nova one, the problem with 288's is worse on novas than it is with the corsa MC.Quote:

Well a lot of corsa drivers are female? lol
afaik Corsa MC is larger than the nova one, corsa's are 100 kilo's heavier I guess but ad didn't like 288's on his because they were too grabby, so I doubt it's that causing it.
Was, cause we put the 256s back on and it was fine.. Seen threads on C/S and Mig over it too...
Had same prob on my old gsi but once i adjusted the brake pedal they were fine did the same on the sport no problem
he's working on that, he sold the carbs and is now building it with TB's.Quote:

MK-The problem with 288s is the big piston calipers need a load of mc travel to operate them, so your brake pedal goes like half down its travel before you get any braking.
Pedal is spot on with my current 284s, you just have to get used to there feel etc before hammering it, because you can lock the wheels up at like 110mph in mine lol
You can adjust the travel though with the nut/pin on the brake transfer bar behind the dash.
Yeah I knew what the issue is with them, thought it was better with the corsa MC though, so my point was if he has a good pedal now with 4 pots it will be well within reach on the corsa MC
Pedal should definitely be better with the corsa setup
I do have 4pots now and the brake feel is really nice, am final happy with it.
So dont really wanna mess about again with it...
Mayhem, dude you need to get him to do a build thread and link me too it, i love his car... A Wilwood MC would loo much better.. But servo less isn't a great feel to them really..
Cracked on today..
Started by sanding off the fiber glass for a smooth mount.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9449.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9450.jpg
Then gave up as i forgot to bring a block home to get it fully flat, so thought i should crack on with stripping the engine down..
Bottom pulley and alt off, you can see the mess from the oil leak..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9455.jpg
Started taking the inlet off and i noticed this...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9453.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9451.jpg
Hhmm the stud has unwound it's self out of the inlet.. Both sides! So i could lift it up at the back...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9452.jpg
Light is to show the gap..( that's with out me lifting it!)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9454.jpg

Removing the rocker cover the quick way...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9462.jpg
Cam belt off and cams out..(you can see the oil leak is higher than the sump..)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9460.jpg
Timing all correct..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9459.jpg
Grease has come out of the pulley..
