Now the cage is completely sorted fitment wise i whipped it out again (the cage that is lol) so i can paint it.

That was it for today - should be getting on with the rear arches shortly, along with some more strengthening and perhaps some paint :thumb: :thumb:

Good work, liking the cage fitment pics, just what i needed.

Strange how your Mo's are identical to mine, but mine are only 6j width.

Comp do countless different offset and width combinations.

That'll explain it then. :)
Its just usually in vauxhall fit, 15s, are 6j.

Cage mounts look sweet mate, and judging by what your saying its a hell of a lot of effort moving the seats and modifying everything to suit for just 2 inches, i agree it hardly seems worth it. Respect on the wheels, big fan of comps, had to resist so hard to not put them on my current nova lol keep it up :thumb:

Loving the weight saving on the seat mounts, I think I still have some of mine left. i'm not great with the spot weld drill and it started to look like someone had removed mine with an axe, so i gave up :(
The cage spreaders/mounts look :cool:

Thanks for your views on the wheels - its good to have some decent visual content imo as threads are soooo boring otherwise and the pics help others attempting such tasks such as Adam - glad to be of help!.

Oli and for anyone else who cares the metal I removed from the original seat mounts weighed in at 2.2kgs :eek:

Anyway no major events to update on tonight as i have had a well over due clean up resulting in this

there is quite a lot of sh!te there considering i try and clean up as much as possible after i've finished work on the car for the night as i hate starting back at it the next day with cr@p everywere. Most of this came from various corners around the shell and all those filings from drilling.

Then once every thing was clean i flipped the shell over again

Giving better acces for prep and painting inside the shell (as i can stand inside the shell through the door and rear window hole) , sorting how much i need to cut the rear arches up for the wideness, measuring up for the rear diffuser, plating the front panel and working out how much wider my bottom arms need to be with my new spacers (not the conventional ones i may add....details to follow lol) as well as tidying up under the front arches were i extended them etc etc ect.
