Respect for the post time lol - out lay in ££ isn't that much more than sticking with my corsa pedal box idea as they are £150 ish and the floor mounted stuff being about 3-400 for the good stuff but compbrake do do one for £200 not sure if its any good though?

Then the rest is just my time - the drivers seat will sit in the roughly same position as the passengers when its all the way back on the subframe mounting points if that makes any sense?
I will see how it looks with both seats in and actually how far back from the pedals the drivers seat is so i can decide what to do.....

I haven't had any time on the car since Thursday evening until today so here is what i've been up to...

To start i collected these yesterday what a bargain!

And they are a wicked size for what i want (to fit the wide arches)

I then looked in to this seat all the way back idea - and can confirm it won't be happening atm as i can't see any real gain over the current seat position.
Moving the seat requires quite a lot more work (handbrake, and steering column etc) but it will only go back about another 2inches before it fouls he cage so isn't worth the effort imo.

Here is the seat as far back as it will go before it fouls the cage - see the top left corner

But here is the catch - i can still reach the pedals so they wouldn't need moving but i can't reach the hand brake or shifter comfortably

So i can't see the point in all that faf for 2 inches esp as there is no major gain other that its cool....

This gives a comfortable seating position, with good sight to the off and near side (which is important to me as it will be road legal and i like to see lol) and means i don't have to alter anything!

If all that made no sense at all i'm glad as it means im not the only one who didn't understand lol.
So to summarise i don't think there is any reason to change what i already have as there is little to any gain to be had for the effort involved.

I got rid of the entire old seat mounting

I then moved on to the cage....again. (Its almost done now thank funk)
I took the cage out of the car to weld the spreader plates in as so

I then slipped the cage back in (yer its like that easy) to drill all the holes for the mounts and tag in points.
