Exactly, I've tried vauxhall, autovaux, opel in the south of ireland, and all have said that I have no hope of ever getting new doors. They are mega rare. The only place that has them is this opel germany. I just hope they put alot more care into packageing them this time!Quote:

I also once had a problem with a part from Opel Classic Parts, but got another one without a problem.
Big advantage for me is that they moved now to a new location and are about 20km from my home :D
Cheers
THAT IS CRIMINAL.
Akin to witnessing animal cruelty, I wish I hadnt seen those pics tbh.
Ouch... ****ing couriers!!!!

They go for black powder coating on monday.

Looking good Keith -- This will be a topper!
Well, the third set of doors arrived today with Ade. Bad news once again.
NSF door is badly damaged, two massive dents.
OSF door is fine, no dents, just two minor folds at the bottom, but is repairable.
Heres the NSF door and its packaging:

I dont think there's much point in point out how I feel right now, i'm waiting a reply on what they plan to do this time.
Keith
Thats taking the piss -- I think its deliberate (sp)
Jesus you must be sick of this by now. Hope they're understanding about your situation again.
i don't, just bloody careless.
I hope you haven't paid for the second set keith.

Gutted keith, Get on their case ! i guess it wouldn't take too much to repair those doors, but that's not the point..
Good luck
what are the doors like off the shell originally keith?
Unlucky Keith! All the best though fella!
They were perfect, and period pre 85 doors too. But they got damaged either at the dipping plant or in transit to the paint shop.Quote:

OMG :(
That's a real shame about the doors, let's just hope its 3rd time lucky..
 Is there someone up there looking to **** down on me or something? I cannot f u c king believe it. The final door has been delivered to an address in germany, and some car parts that were supposed to go to germany were delivered to Crew.
What a bloody mess, i'm seriously going to break this project if this door doesnt get sent back to crew without a scratch.
TNT are absolutely useless.

Once again, poorly packaged and destroyed by the courier. I would highly recommend that no one orders any panels from opel classics unless you can collect them yourself.
And thats what i'm going to do. On 27th August, i'm planning a trip opel classics in germany to collect two mint doors. Sounds a bit extream, but when i'm paying the guts of 3k to dip, e-coat then paint a shell, it cant have doors full of ripply filler in it. I might pick up some spare wings and any other bits whilst i'm there.
Sorry but i wont have any room in the car for parts for other people, i'll just about be able to fit the two doors in and not damage them.
Keith
Amen to that, im sure they take a course on how NOT to read an address, and then play rugby with the parcels. They used to be the cream of courior companies in the past, but now ive seen nothing but uselessness and damaged goods from them. They managed to smash 7 of 8 projectors I had delivered to a site not long ago.Quote:

keith, i'd have to say that'd probably be the best solution, and it's what i'm planning to do next year.Quote:

ps, i'd hate to be on the other side of the counter when you get there!:thumb:
if only they knew how delicate these things are !!!!Quote:
