Cheers Dan, makes all the scanning and editing seem worth it, lol. Why do they have to place images at funny angles in mags? Arghgh, lol, good ol' photoshop to the rescue though :)
My brain and eyesight is now slightly frazzled though, lol

Well apart from my mate Ian Holmes's who beat Gary in the Best kept car competition.
But for such a highly modified car it's excellent, and looks so factory!!
look forward to seeing it at the shows - you going to Wicksteed next weekend?

At least the engine still lives on in a new form of tune

old skool definaltely rules 8)
I know the 2 guys standing next to Pete Neal's car in Ricks last pic (the two on the furthest left)
The guy with the jacket with orange band is a mate called Kev Knights and the guy next to him is Ben who ended up buying the GSi they are standing next to looking at (Pete Neal's one!!)
 :o
That's when Pete Neal was selling it! Good memory!!
Your mate got ripped buying that though! Dodgy car had been bumped more than a dodgem LOL!!!
Whatever happened to that car????
He kept it for a couple of years then sold it to a local 16 year old (with rich parents) for a staggering ?4500 - the kid then passed his test and promptly messed it right up - nudges, scratches, dents, kerbed alloys, exhaust ripped off and left hanging, broken headlight etc etc etc..............
Probably ended up either being scrapped, wrapped around a lamppost or hopefully brought by someone and rebuilt - but I doubt it very much!!
I drove to Bedford in 1995 for Pete Neal to fit a unique splitter and some subtle grey Coutenay graphics to my white 1.2 GSI looker. He did a spot on job and only charged me ?40 for the splitter, fitting, and the graphics.. He was a nice guy. Then he started hanging around with Maff Searle and the other PNG big-knobs and a couple of years later started charging ?120 for the splitter!!!! I know a lot of people fell out with him after that...
Good looking car though!!!
 made my day that commentQuote:
