Exhaust needs the clamp undoing it and the backbox twisting. Its not sat in the right place

Painting drums is easy. Prep them as you would get them clean and wipe with spirit. Etch primer if you're painting from bare metal or normal primer if not. Then colour of your choice. Don't paint the surface which the wheel mates too.

I personally would do them silver or original looking or black. Don't like colour coded drums.

Far too much work for something like the rear drums IMO.

Wire brush, Hammerite Brushed on paint.

Only smoother if you can remove all the rust from the drums in the first place, Sure on new drums its worth spraying, but not on old drums IMO.

Tinned paint is only £6/7 anyway, so presuming you have to buy two cans for spraying it (Etch and Black), your spending more than £6/7.

i would go with awo6's idea its simple and effective, and i sprayed mine with cans, and it just shows the imperfections of the drum, regret doing them red however ....

i like clears with the top half tinted red
vaughan has rear fogs with the indicator tinted black looks class
did you get her all polished up tis looking nice and red

Dont go with the tints, Look gash on red cars (IMO)
Next thing i would change is interior :d
Also red bumper strips would go down a treat :d
But in overall looks looks very smart now
I certainly would be very happy with that as my first car!!
