DN16 2HA Scunthorpe North Lincs
21 been driving nearly 2 years any restrictions?
rules on a cage on a road car?
thinking about a two car policy
got my docs in the post this morn, im slighly confused,
the only modifications on the cover note/shedule is alloy wheels,
there should be
2L16v engine
alloys,
brakes,
suspension mods
does it look like it's a single line on the form? Mine only lists a couple and shows a line cut in half where it doesn't fit on the sheet lol
Olly, im a paid up member, but after a quote on a very lightly modified VW Golf.
Can you help?
Lightly modified - Wheels, coilovers, Front and Rear lights, and a non-performance exhaust. (Just a back box)
You should have a seperate modification report form which details the modifications seperately. My colleague should have explained this also, I will have words.Quote:

No problem with 'caged cars.
i was going to do it all in one, log book and tax at the same office, lolQuote:

Insurance first and foremost (so you can drive to the MOT station)
MOT second (so you can then get tax)
Tax and V5c third (which you can do both together at the same time, at your local DVLA shop).
Dont forget to get a garage to write your engine number/and chassis number on it certifying it's correct etc, and has to be on HEADED paper not your own scribblings lol
i HAD to do this, or it was a no goer on mine before PV last year, then you have to re tax in the bigger bracket as they wont tax it as 1998cc until you have the correct V5, as i say i HAD to do this, and they wont do it any other way..

Same here on my old white shell /\
Obviously DVLA think you are going to lie to them and WANT to pay twice the amount of road tax....... lol
How true is that! Bumbling funkers!Quote:

MOT doesn't check the condition of engine, clutch & gearbox though. I've never seen anything that states an MOT should be re-taken if the vehicle undergoes mechnical alterations.
Neither have i, we used to do MOT's at my old work and i asked my foreman if i'd have to re mot my car after changing the engine he said it would be fine to continue using it.
ok, people, what about the 'couch cough' structural alterations needed to fit an xe??? ie: BIG HAMMER
you cant even see that lolQuote:

cold bending is actually better in structural terms, but i'm not going to start quoting big science againQuote:

called sky today for a quote very helpful and friendly unfortunatly they couldnt cover me on the nova but they did try thanks
i would say you had a narow escape then bud. once you pay them they dont want to now after that would not recomend them to any one. my car was hit by another car and when i contacted them they didnt want to now iwasVERRY VERRY PISSED OFF AND DISAPOINTED. the moral of this is it may seem cheeper at the start but you always get ramed in the end.
not enough facts for us to judge... please fill us inQuote:
