When should the head be back?
lol those head and crank bolts would look at home in one of my tractors - pretty bloody beefy.
Good work there. Hope the head/gasket can cope after all the effort. It would be nice to finally see 1 of these vaux engines putting out reasonably reliable big numbers to match the likes of cosworth etc:)
Had a productive day today, started by removing the old block:

Then i set to on the hydraulic clutch setup which took longer than expected as i rounded the allen key out so out came the drill:

All fitted:

Then i made a start on the wiring which is going to be sorted out:

How come youve gone to a hydraulic clutch setup?
Is there any benefit over cable? Apart from being more complex.
Running the twinplate clutch meant theat clutch cables did not last very long.Quote:

Waiting for the clutch bits to arrive so i can drill bulkhead for the master cylinder. I also need the new piston rings which could well take quite some time to arrive as they cannot give me a delivery date.Quote:

Caged and buckets then?
Might just cage it and leave the stock interior in to start with.
