The tunnel is done, made one from scratch as the cavy one would have required more effort than it was worth to fit. So really that cavy was cut up for nothing :(
Think he was going to make a start on the front part of the cage then start working out dimensions for the back end.
it will 100 % get done I've no doubts, spent too much money on it to just give up that's for sure.
A few pics from today, sorry about the quality not sure what happened!

Looks really good and you must be happy to see some progress.
Tunnel is nice.
Being that all the rear floor is cut out, should some bracing not have gone in?
The crossbrace in the front is retained I see, I'd imagine this will end up like my blue one where most of the strength will be through the cage and additional bars to retain structural rigidity?
Looking really good. Is the transmission tunnel running over the seat crossmember to retain standard seat fittings? Do they still fit with the width of the tunnel? + how will you fit the 1/4 panels? Screws, rivets, nuts n bolts, bonding?
love the carbon parts collection. Would love some of the mirrors.
Thanks, yeah I'm delighted, after about a year of no proper progress it's great to see something being done.
Cheers, there was a few bits welded under the car to keep it all in place when it was cut.
Yeah the cage will be all the support really should do the job keeping it all rigid.
Thanks, standard rails won't be used I've got bits that I got with my cage to be welded in and the seats will be mounted on that. As for the quarters I went for fibreglass ones instead as I didn't want it to look like they'd just been stuck on so will just be bonded on somehow and smoothed in so will look original really.
Nowt can move anyway.Class 6 novas at grassing are built the same.As long as you work off a centreline its all good.
What's class 6 Andy? That rwd or something?
went over to the shop today dropped some parts off, quarters and some 6mm plate to hold the diff. He's made a start with the back end, tubs and turrets will be here tomorrow hopefully so looks like it's full steam ahead.
