Oh, to messy for me.. I like simple and classy.
Weird how those wheels got mentioned because just yesterday i was thinking if i could fit a set of mercedes AMG wheels on a nova, and they look just the same.
Hi benn, i was just wondering where you buy all your cleaning products from? im not really into cleaning cars apart from a wash/hoover once a week but im away to start taking more care although it wont be near to your level lol i found this online thought it seemed ok with a good selection, what you think?

Lewis, they are very close, mecr wheels need wobbled wheel bolts tho, i wouldn't wanna use them..
MrT, i use http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/index.php
Found thread great on price, always loads in stock and very quick delivery...
Well done on the feature benn not got TV yet but will be getting it just to have a read of yours mate.
Damo.
Thank you very much dude :) Hope you enjoy the read.
Just leave it how it is benn.
If I was in your shoes, with the "Perfect" nova, I would be looking at building something else when finished, like a smart daily, and garage the nova for summer months?
"perfect"? Well thank you..lol
Just using it in the summer to me seems like a whole waist of the car..
I built it to use and drive..
Dont think it will ever been finished, there's all ways ore i can do..
But i dont fancy building a Corsa C with a Zlet..
I even went out to buy tv just to keep for posterity. Wel done on the feature, although you look like you need a bigger car.
Good good, cheers dude. Cheeky funker!
good feature benn,enjoyed the read
Thank you very much Sir.
when's the F28 going in then ?
A well deserved feature mate, only just got tv last night, read all your stuff, never knew the deal you had with the body shop.
The pictures look good, but i feel they could of got better ones to show of the bay.
Scott
Car's in bits at the mo, go back a few pages. Gonna get cracking over crimbo and get it all done. Then the engine can come out and so on..Quote:

So i kinda save the money on that, so kinda works as the discount.. If that makes sense?Quote:

I'd have liked to see more reflection on the sides of the car tho.. As i love the flat ness of the paint and shine the car has, but getting that inside can be hard.
Read through but ive missed something, Why is it in bits ?
Fitting a F28 with Quafe, light engine rebuild, finish painting the under side. (or make it better haha)

I don't think i could have it any other way, i like that i do it all my self, means it my car if you get me.. Means i know every bit and what ever bolt looks like, i know i've not (well maybe once or twice) cut corners and such. But does mean i know all the bad bits on the car.. I day i'll have got rid of them all and be happy final.
For me, hearing people say its one of their fav Novas is funny. Over the years there have been so many cars i've look up to and thought i wish my car was like that.. Even now compare to these cars i don't see my Nova as up there with them.. So to hear that people see my car like that is crazy, but a huge honour. So thank you to any one that does think of my car like that.
Just bought TV for the first time in a long time due to your feature. Great photo shoot. Well deserved.

But the fact that yours does have a flawless finish, and the fact that it is all your own hard work, for me puts it right up at the top:thumb:

I know what your saying tho, it's part of being your own worse critic.
I've really glad you all like what i have done and will carry on to do.

Get it done, you know you want too.
Corsa C's are **** in IMO (and experience from owning one & having another one in my direct family cirlce)
Are they that bad Mike? Only driven them about at the bodyshop so never been far in one.. Taking them apart seems easy tho...
Corsa C's rattle loads interior wise, due to everything being made of hard plastic, friend of the misses always had the footwells filling up with water  common problem apparently
So with a new angle grinder in hand i headed to the garage this morning..
Start..

Off, area needs cleaning up.. *cough*
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...rboxmount5.jpg
Mostly clean.. Smooth bays can be a git to work on. My mouth was fully smoothed in hence the dust every where, mount was full welded around too so there's been alot of grinding down to get it flatter.. But i think the F28 mount goes a little father forward so should be ok..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...rboxmount3.jpg
Next get the box in and start lining everything up. Oh gonna plate and smooth the two holes too...
*cough* Damn filler and metal dust..
I've seen and fixed the water one, comes in around the ecu/loom bulk head hole..Quote:

Great to see some work done on it benn. I bought the mag for your feature the other day, i also never knew the deal you had with the bodyshop. it's a great car and it just keeps getting better and better. I look forward to seeing it in the summer at some of the shows and get to say hello.
Thank you very much, it was a good deal all them years ago.. Wish i could get it as cheap now..lol
I'll be at every show bar Trax over the summer...
Look at all that filler dust :p
Did it all line up ok today matey??
Why does this have to be cut off to fit an F28 Gearbox ?
Keep up the good work Benn.
F28 hits the mount
There properly **** IMO, as Edd has said they leak water into the footwells for fun from behind the dash, the wiring is dire on them, there a pain to work on mechanically, they weight far to much, even the SRi is waaaaaaaaaaay under powered & the body roll is just comical lolQuote:
