Mr Porter - I was going to comment on why there had been no updates. I read and enjoy the Cav upddates as much as the Nova updates.

prime example was the fact that i have always been sus of it sinse i refited it not only because of the whine but because it never seemed to transfer asmuch power to the rear as my white one did nomater how hot i got the v/c and now i know why by the fact that the box is riddled with shrapnel from the broken down clutch material from the clutch rings the same stuf that nackered all the bearings
in my opinion if its got to be locked its got to be done in the same mannor mike howards does them with a purpose made locking ring.
like i say mate no offence ment but its not right like that and a transfer box isnt a 2 minute job when fitted in the car to change so i dont fancy doing it again in 3 weeks so it will have locking rings
oh and its defenatly not a vts unless vts use 3 tubes of rtv sealent to seal one crown wheel cover!
No offence taken mate !
the trouble is when fitting the metal rings it transfers more pressure to the main diff in the txb if you look at turbodazzs cav turbo which had mikes rings fitted this also gave up the ghost so there is problems both ways i prefere to use the clutch plate rings as it does give a little and also turbodave has run a vts box for nearly 75k and has done trackdays 1/4 miles and daft things like that so there are pros and cons with both set ups at the end of the day the vauxhall txb is really a choclate box and will give up no matter what you do to them ! lol
but keep up the good work i look forward to the next installment
to be honest i have dug my acumulator setup out that was in my white one and im thinking about fitting one of my spare fully working tx boxes and the full standard 4x4 system rather than locking itQuote:
