They the rally design ones? Look similar but mine don't have the recesses either side of the bearing, that i've noticed anyway.

They're Compbrake CMB0230 topmounts.
A little more work on the rack and topmounts today, pics are more for reference than an interesting update!
Quaife internals vs standard:

Part no. on pinion, also the bearing I need to fit to my new internals in the bottom left:

Looking at the bearing number, and comparing it to Olly's post, it's a standard one. So I've ordered a new one:

Measurements are 40mm outer diameter, 17mm internal diameter and 12mm thickness:

Next, on to the topmounts. I had bought new threaded inserts to use but they're too long, over 3cm here:

Which leads to this:

So I dug out my old ones which were already cut down:

Much better:

Perfect:

Not sure if I've said yet, but I'm upgrading my 275lb 8" springs (for the 16SE) to 325lb 7" springs for the 20XE:

Markings of the springs from Faulkner:

Next up I had a play with my camber bolts!

Fit in the strut like this:

http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2/638.JPG
However two problems....
1 - I cannot get full adjustment as the washer hits the strut here:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2/639.JPG
And 2 - The bolt can twist without moving the washer?! So that surely makes them unsettable as the washer can be pointing in a completely different location to the bolt!
Have you still not got way too much thread sticking out the top mount??????
And why camber bolts? Just adjust the top mounts
I though this when i had my LEDA's, but when i fitted it all upto the shell, i ended up with umpteen more adjsutability.Quote:

The coilovers are designed for standard topmounts. Most people fit the bottom and top spacer which leaves a 'normal' amount of thread poking out the top, but the benefits of what I've done are no play in the top spring platform, and slightly more travel at lower ride heights.
Camber bolts.... Just more adjustment. I can set the topmounts for maximum caster and sort the camber on the bolts - win win!
Them bolts are more for caster then anything, but as Ad say's the top mounts give more then enough adjustment Iain.
Good progress though mate.
Scott
I can't see how the bolts modify caster?
I used to run -1deg neg camber and +1deg caster on the topmounts, so if I can set the topmounts to give more caster then the bolts alone will get -1deg camber.
That's the theory anyway, if I can iron out the weird issues explained above then I'll use 'em.
concidering they are called camber bolts then im guessing scott is abit sleepy
