Done some more on this over the past couple of weeks, but not got any pics.
Stripped the timing belt off to investigate the oil leak, and thought it was the crank seal as it didn't look to be seated properly. So ordered a new one, fitted it along with a bead of sealant around the outer edge, rebuilt it all and ran it up, and it's still leaking as bad! Don't think it's the crank seal though as it's deffonatley coming from higher up. We saw a big drip from the thermostat housing onto the ledge of the engine mount. It deffo wasn't water either... Really annoying as the cam seals look to be dry, rocker cover gasket looks dry too. And can't see it being from between the head and block (touch wood and everything crossed anyway!!)
I'm going to strip the timing belt off again and get the back plate off, reassemble without it or the alt belt and run it up again so I have a clear view of the side of the engine and hopefully be able to spot something. Really disheartening though as I'm so close to completion now :(
Also semi got the digi dash working with thanks to Iain and his multi meter! Cheers mate. Gave the drivers side floor and footwell a lick of fresh paint aswell the back bench area as I had a slight brake fluid leak a while back. Seats & harnesses are all back in and even put my helmet hammock in aswell which I got for Xmas 2 years ago lol
