What a difference 3months makes eh! ;) lol
Looking forward to the YouTube videos already
Adam - three months? or a year and three months?
Scott - it'll be a road legal track car, they aren't worth doing up as a roadie.
Im glad to see you back with another project, good luck with shell search!!:thumb:
P.D:I have a good shell for sale but I think you have a little distant.lol
About time you got back in a Nova.
Crikey ! I read on FB about a nova but I thought you were joking !
whaaa?! Another Nova :) But.........where do you go from your last one?
If I start saving now, by the time your bored of it and breaking it i'll be able to afford the TB's lol
lol Jonboy, I dunno, something about them that I just love
Mazz - if I could buy my champagne one back the way it was, I would... awesome machine!
Welcome back babe ;)
Carnt wait for the updates I loved looking at your last build progress from track day to the next and not one big build
I think you should do a saloon
This is what we expect next time :)

Also please turbo it this time
Welcome back ollie
Cant wait to see some updates.
Ste
I don't see a let nova as a good track car, powerful so fast in a straight line but it just adds far too much weight to the front end.
However a Corsa VXR engine could have a lot of potential with some management on it, NA is cool and although the small block wins on handling you can squeeze a fair bit of hp from the 20XE for not masses of money. Personally I would move forwards with tuning rather than backwards and go for the VXR engine if I was to build another.
I just love the simplicity and the bullet proof nature of the 20XE, I did 18 very hard trackdays within 12 months, and didn't miss a beat... thats exactly what I want.
Nothing mental, just a nice 230bhp XE on bodies with a 90% plate diff & sequential box.
Other than that - it'd be incredibly like my champagne one... simplicity. nothing over complicated.
This not finished yet lol
Welcome back Olly, looking forward to the build and your photography ;)
I've still got these I bought off you from the group buy you did if you need them... Still unused ;)

Sequential box mmmmm
Hai! :)
Nova shell in the f/s section, local to me, give me a shout if you want me to have a look :)
So many fond & familiar names I'm seeing - nice to see you're all about...
So whose trackday goers nowadays? Do the banzaibummers still go out... Bottlethroddy, Dar, Ernie & chris_gsi?
I believe dar is the only one to still have his nova. Hobbit has got lees old one which is now a v6. Iain likes his trackdays now as well
welcome back!
Looking forward to seeing videos of you reeling in expensive cars again lol
Oh my he returns! Be interested to see what you produce this time. Watching with anticipation :)
Welcome back Olly. I'm still going with my track car, just not getting in as many as I wanted to this year with house commitments now.
pesky house's :( Wait til you've got kiddies!
ExTrEmeOc - awesome Nova - just fantastic, a man after my own heart with nearly everything you've done to it.
I've found myself a shell, although I'm a little out of touch... a H reg MK2, 1.2 SPi petrol is an OK shell isn't it?
Can't even remember if there were any major shells to avoid... my white one was a MK2 I think (K reg) and my champagne was a D reg I think, or F... which I thought was MK1? lol
Any nova shell should be fine, as long as it's not got the dreaded rot. The spi engine loom is part of the car loom and takes a bit of unpicking.
Gotcha - cheers John! So a three door H reg would be fine then - I'll go and have a lookie... been in their family for 19 years, so I'm not sure what to expect
Bumder. It has a sunroof. :(
Maybe! Let me get started first mind lol
If you can sell them in the meantime, the by all means, do!
Theres a few people who could make a carbon infill panel so it would be lighter than a non sunroof one ;)
