Really dont think white will suit my car colour tbh!!
OK well you can try a shop, but white looks good on everything...
If not then go for red spokes with black rim/edge.
These might be for sale soon Ad. 15's aswell.

Cant believe its been 4 month since i posted in this thread lol
Well, what have i been up to,Lol.
Nothing much car related tbh, hence lack of posts.
Astras done another head gasket so thats currently in pieces, and the other day i actually started the nova, and cleaned it!!!
Sat for 4 months and it starts first turn of the key
Definently off the road for the next few months now, but will be back where it belongs, on track, next year!
Bit of a task ive given myself is sort out the gear linkage, basically remake a new internal shifter so i can actually get 4th gear properly. Thinking corsa shifter. :)
Adam
ok.. why corsa shifter.. all these years cav. shifter, never corsa..?
would love to come up sometime and have a look at your nova adam.
U painted ur wheels day-glow orange yet?
Cav/Astra shifter has the wrong end on for a nova linkage,so needs further modding.Quote:

Ben-Anytime mate, have you got my number?
Paul-Nah mate, maybe a bit of a task for over winter as ive had these Mo's about 2 years now lol
ah so corsa one has different end.? if its a more suitable end then it is strange why cav shifters are the commonly known/used one..
Im confused, corsa ones have the same end as like cav?
+1 to that :confused:Quote:

Just stick with your cav setup and change the clamp bit on the linkage for a corsa item, your lose the **** nova bush and be able to replace both bushs on the linkage (the little plastic cups) cheaply.Quote:

Corsa linkage? How does it differ to a nova one?
Mike, cheers mate. Any info/pics would be sound :)
:thumb:
Its just the bit that has the internal bit for the clamp thing you need off a corsa linkage, It has a cup bush that is replaceable via vaux for about £5, does fit the standard nova linkage once you have popped off the rubbish nova bush.Quote:

Novas been sat since, well erm, whenever it was, last summer. About August 2010 time i think.
Ive not done anything on it.
I still want to sort the linkage before its on the road again, but its not looking good tbh. Its going cost the best part of £700-£800 get it back on the road (tax, insurance, two new front tyres). The front brakes are fcuked from it standing. Its not been run for approx 3-4months.
And its all down to money :(
Ive pretty much got £50 left out my wages each month, if im lucky. Where i live, bills, my missus, holidays and the astra pretty much eat all my money. And theres no way in the near future im going be able save enough spare cash to put the nova on the road.
So thats pretty much that atm. :(
Going to have a drive down to Combe Spring day in April to see what im missing, and hope money picks up over the next few months.
Possibly coming soon to a breaking thread near you...
booo
Don't brake it lad you'll miss it when it's gone!
But he's in the same boat as me mate, your not missing something you cant use, and it's wasting away, you wouldn't leave 3-4K sat in a box in your garage instead of in your Isa account would you??Quote:

gutted mate
I would miss hooning around in it on warm, sunny days. Definently would.Quote:

That cost i do not miss.
Anyways, im off work this week, planning on a trip to the scrappy as im after some astra bits, also might rip the shifter out of a cav/astra too. So I can sort the shifter out sometime.
Going charge the batt up, stick some fuel in, get some air in the tyres, and see if it'll start too.
Shame i cant drive it, because it really needs it!
*vulture
It sooo true, though, i used mine 3-4 times to events did two track days lolQuote:

Sad times though Adam hopefully you come into some spare funds, I've been in a similar situation money wise but the Nova's my only car so no choice but to run it into the ground, my arches are looking sorry for themselves after the winter :(
I am hoping things pick up and i can put some money back into it.
