Good progress mate nice to see it running :)
Iain said you had made good progress, Cool to see it coming together. Two white track novas done in the same year?! (Presuming Iain dont get even more anal)
I agree with the rocker cover needing a bit of sealer on the end caps.
Thanks for the comments guys, it's really come together & took shape this week, and having a little drive of it has really spurred me on and wanting a trackday soon!!
Had another look at the oil leak today, and now not sure if it's coming from the crank pulley aswell as higher up, it's really annoying as the timing belt back cover is in the way to see clearly where the leaks from.
Today I've also got all the lights working. Got the bonnet on with 4 bonnet pins. Back bumper on, which needed cutting out for the exhaust. Fuel sender wires on, and all the battery lines p-clipped in. Was expecting some CDS to arrive to make some door bars but it's still not here yet :(
So one last push tomorrow to get as much done before I bring it home at the weekend and break it for parts :) lol just kidding the noise of them carbs has got me hooked!
Haha is that all the paint burning off in the vid? Car looks awesome now its "almost complete" looking.
Am I right in thinking running lean makes it run too hot? So it could potentially be overfueling in #3? (Just guessing!)
Yea the smoke is the paint burning off the exhaust, and as for the fuelling point you could be right for all I know! Lol that will be sorted on setup though if it is the problem. I'm more worried about this oil leak at the mo :(
Sure its not the bottom pully seal and then being thrown up by the pully etc?
Well done mate, it's amazing how much work you can do in a week.
Remind me, how many years ago did we weld it?
Thanks Tom, it sure has come on alot this week, really happy about it too :)
Just had a quick look back in the thread & it was three & a half years ago!!! That's crazy lol oh well good things come to those who wait I suppose :) getting there now though. Thanks for the advice earlier too. Much appreciated.
awesome build mate well done
Glad its running dude. Loving the vid, is always a worry when you see that smoke coming off till you remember what it is.
