Cheers Ben,
Dj, Cheers, its not perfect. Tbh, there was a huge mess up and we had a non stand in the " our club is sh*te and cant get a stand sorted" bit.. So hand brake turns on the grass was called for. Then we found our other stand..lol
mate it looked near perfect condition at pv!! and gutted then after you made a mess off her lol
lol thank you but it's not. And she'll clean up dont worry.
Pop to see my trimmer to day, he'd got this finished for me. Any one that saw the car/me at Pv might have seen the mk1 of this which was just wrapped and glued. Which was wa*k. So mk2 here we come..

Found on the drive to Combe, even tho my new linkage wipes better at 60 they would skip a lil in the middle of the screen, so picked these up today from work.

Amazing attention to detail Benn
I would love to being doing similar stuff, wouldn't suit the Sport tho :(
is there anything your not going to make shinny benn?? lol
Looks smart, flat blade's are so much better..
Thank you Sir, why not? Look at Dec's, he did everything to a top level..Quote:

Cool, hope it will remove my flat spot then.
They don't effect engine performance! lol
lol no flat spot in that..
What's the thing you've just had trimmed mate?
P.s nice shaft.
Boot lid trimQuote:

Driving home on Friday i noticed the water temp was getting very hot. Think it might be air in the system i just let the air out.. Sat morning found the header tank was empty. So i just simply topped it up thinking i had lost alot when i changed a hose.
While talking with Dan, we noticed it looked like one of the lines was leaking.. Well it was leaking! The metal end to the turbo hose has touched, i knew it had been but didn't think it was this bad.. So...

Get the rad out to inspect.

Gotta take it to a guy i know, see if he can weld it up on Monday...
Ouch
Should be able to get it Ally welded tho so hopefully isn't to bad.
thats abit of a biach :(
On the plus side, at least you noticed it before any engine damage ocurred though:thumb:
Is that one of them Auto TX alloy ones? Will the weld hold though, hope so, also have you tried to move it forward slightly to give more clearance?
Scott
I repaired my rad core with JB Weld and it's been spot on, so I reckon proper TIG will be fine.
Hope you get it sorted without too much expense Ben. Lucky catch on that one mate! Keep looking after one of my top 3 Nova's for me until I buy it. lol
Sadly its what happensQuote:

Good thing you noticed it early Benn, would have made things a lot worse if you were driving it and it lost all the coolant.
Ouch Benn :( hope the repair holds.
What hose was rubbing, water hose coming from / to the turbo ? Just rotate the center housing on the turbo round a few degrees so it clears the rad.
Well it lost most of it..Quote:

Yeah its trying me! Wanted to give it some dead and loving this weekend..
Theres always next weekend!
As long as its still dry and nice...
Well at least it had some left. Losing it all when driving (especially on the motorway) isn't a very good thing lolQuote:

But seeing it and just under the red worried me, so i switched off and coasted thru the town and then down my road and on to the drive... Just in case.
Glad you found the problem benn! Should be easy sorted ;-)
Shame about the rad dude........ hope it repairs ok :)
Nick.
An up date tomoz will say either or not it'd fixed..lol
Right, couldn't be welded, chemical metal wouldn't stick.. Tried a ac repairing kit where you metal alloy on to it. All it's done is make the hole bigger.
So new rad on order...
Question is... Do i just fit it and use the car a bit more... Or see it as that's the first step.. Fit the F28 repaint the bay and rebuild the engine..
Do it in a oner Benn.............. That way it'll all be done and finished for the new season and the better weather. ;)Quote:

You using a custom alloy rad or standard type? You can get Valeo standard GTE/GSi rad for £35 all in.
