Hi mike yeah the gearbox fits fine now mate just waiting for the AP bearing to arrive (it's on back order). As soon as that arrives its full steam ahead mate maybe another 2 Wk ends work then my mate is going freshen the painteork p on the outside.
Cheers Gareth
Hi all thought it was about time that this had an update.
Got the remote oil filter mounted a while ago.

Easy filter change aswell.
I also started with fitting the hydraulic bearing from AP. fresh out the box

We trial fitted it in the box but it was catching the casing so I have to file some of the casting away

Also cause the bearing is for a saab box fitment we could only get one of the holes lined up, so we made a plate from 1.6mm alloy plate.

Fitted in the box

we found the easiest way to fit the two items together first then to fix it to the box, the only real issue that i came across was on one of the bolt holes i could only fit an M5 bolt not M6 :(

We refitted the box and found we have a success. the bearing sits away freely and the clutch doesnt catch

I just need to remove the box and tidy the area i have filed down, also make a slight channel cause the bolts that hold the clutch on are close to the casing.
Also get a input shaft seal to suit and it offically hyraulic clutch.
I managed to get my dash down to prey last week aswell so should be back in the new year covered in flock.
also ordered some fibreglass doors to pick up soon :)
and the pilbeam tie bar kit should be ready after xmas then its all go go go.
Thanks for looking. Gareth
