Right compression tested, 150-160 psi on them all. So that's ok.
Then looked at my afm..... Unplugged it and it carried on with the reves going up and down, with the miss-fire sounded like it got better.
So took it off and found this...

That's alot of sh*t, Its more sooty with a lil oil..

Changed to my spare and the miss-fires gone! So some of you where right in away.. I'm guessing the turbo's spat some sh*t back up in to the afm...
good to hear my friend
Yeah meansa few more months of use and abuse. Another session of Combe. Then it can come off the road and i'll rebuild the engine and maybe go f28.
Really wanna drive a Nova with an F28 first to make sure i'd be happy.
Cheers for the help guys :)
u WILL be happy! look at everbody else whos been running lets for years - what do they all have in common. F28s and P2+
I thought it would be the air flow metre
lol yeah but i wanna feel the drive.. As once the months cut off its kinda sh*t or bust.
Why?Quote:

Glad you got it sorted, can the Afm be cleaned with something
Glad to hear its not the HG and you checked the AFM like I said. My bro's one wasn't as bad but I dipped it in alcohol and it cleaned it well. Cleared the fault immediately.Quote:

Benn, try some TFR on that AFM
Make sure to brush on, brush off etc.
Its worth a go, as a good spare etc:)
£400? way out of my range... And white? Ben doesn't do white wheels. I'd have to paint them..lolQuote:

Gonna be an engine rebuild.
Maybe ph2,
Wanna get the under side stripped and re painted (blue)
I still want different rims, will prob have to go back to 4stud to be able to find wheels i like.
Maybe turret the rear and get the beam sorted.
Wanna mirror polish my exhaust system. (its semi done now, but not to my liking)
Think that's it.
Plans sound good.
I'm still tryna search for some rims, so funking hard. Will proably be the hardest decision to make on the Nova.
Snap. There's so many i like....
True, but there's also so many crap ones.
I really don't know what to go for. I would love to have a staggered style wheels but can't really find any. Something with a slight dish that would suit would be nice.

I use www.rimstyle.com
Back to my new hatch boot i've slowly been working on.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...7072010190.jpg
Test fitted, corner is damaged tho,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...7072010191.jpg
That's been fixed. Got and minty spoiler, what a mission getting that on and fitted nicely. Gave me the dog a few times.
All ready for primer and paint now.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...6092010243.jpg
Mmmmm brand new glass...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...6092010240.jpg
Hehe ass colour..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...6092010241.jpg
At the weekend i lowered the car back down. Giving me this.. I like.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...9092010247.jpg
But running low means if you turn to much tyre and arch have a lil meet up and bad things happen and it did.
So... Small repair later..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...6092010242.jpg
Then after a bit her and there, i've bare metalled the arch lips off.. well taken off what paint was left as the tyres are doing a great job of polishing the lips. Did a little cleaning up inside the vents as well.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...9092010250.jpg
Took them to the body shop and etched and primered them.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0092010252.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0092010253.jpg
No dent.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0092010254.jpg
While in doing that, i picked up a new wiper motor to re work to get a better wipe. So take apart, cut chop and re weld. Then cut the pivot bar on the linkage to adjust the sweep and re weld.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8082010225.jpg
Then break apart cause i made the sweep to long so it wiped off the screen...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...9082010228.jpg
Re build and test.. All works. Strip apart and paint so it looks nicer.
While doing that, i found/ Dan pointed out that the Corsa spindles sit up much more straight from the scuttle, where as the Nova one sits at much more of a angle. So i had to try and get them to sit with more angel.
Made a temp plastic shim up to test, works very well.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8082010226.jpg
Have a much better wipe now.
More soon.
A lot of work gone into that mate, looking spotless as ever, lovely ride height :thumb:
It's frigging minging! Was raining on way to Combe add in a few hand brake turns on the wet grass at Combe.. lol
I'm enjoying the ride height too.. well for looks anyway.
Good work as always BEnn. Any pics of the new wiper setup in situ (under the scuttle)?
Cheers Craig, i can take some.
Good work as allways benn.
