did you ever see that red sr he had last year sometime? reg was J418PBT, he bought it in mint condition, run it for a few months then handbraked it into a kerb which bent the back axle then sold it to some fella without telling him about the bent beam, fella rung him back a coupla week later saying the beam had snapped through and he just put the phone down! ridiculous that lad...

Typical! Gearboxs are easy enough to find tho.

With the tappeting, it could be just because the engine has been sat for a while. And did you pump the oil before starting it? (turning it over without acualy starting it)

And Red towing eye's would look kool.

And also, you cant put your plate on a older car? i thought it was the other way around?

Nah not engine out, changed them several times now without taking englne out. I just remove the shafts, passenger tie bar, gear linkage, speedo cable and clutch cable. Support the engine under the sump with trolley jack then undo the gearbox mounts and unbolt gearbox from engine. Then just lower engine on jack until you have room to get gearbox out.

It's not that awkward to be honest, I've done it with an f28 as well but that was much worse as it's bulkier and heavier.

No spare f20's, going when the let engine goes later!
