While the engines out, get a quick rack in there Dar. After fitting mine its odd seeing how much lock you have to apply :)
Expert piloting as always ;)
Lee - It's on the list already.
mate im hooked watching them vid the second vid actauly goes off halfway through for a matter of seconds,i was that into it i went awwwwwww.but awsome track action love to have the time etc to that.just wicked seeing your car in action as allways.:) :thumb:
Thanks, yeah the vid does got off but only for about 10 seconds and then its back on again :D
Slow down man or you'll go back in time!
Awesome video!
Video from the Pulsar. Clicky for pulsar footage
/\ Needs lessons on where to mount a cam in a track car.
Looks like you don't half get some speed.
After ever bend you kept leaving him more and more.
I bet that Pulsar was running a fair wack of power too.
Shows how you dont need a massive amount of power to be quick around a track
Just backs up my arguement that big power turbos just dont cut it on a track :)Quote:

I love seeing my car from a chase car :D
Adam - Apparently that Pulsar is running 400bhp. I know hes spent a small fortune on it and he deffo catches me easy on the straights.
Once I have sorted the Nova it really will need a hike in power in the near future.
sorry to hear you broke it dar but did look like it was absoulty flying from where i was watching, so did chris as well, what clutch are you running in there i am runnign an ap uprated item in mine,
Mine was just a standard item, but it will be replaced with something alot more exotic this time. I generally (if I think its ok) use the standard part and it they brakes replace it with stronger a bit.
I just need to get the engine out and 100% confirm that it is what I think it is and then I will order the new shiney bits.
you going for more power form the engine or just once you have comfirmed it is the clutch then replace and back in you going for a small flywheel and clutch 7 1/2" item when we picked will f's engine up it was fitted with a tiny multiplate clutch and small flywheel looked cool
For the time being its going back in as is (I have an engine that will be being done whilst this one is still in the car), I just want to confirm its the clutch and not something else. Just to be sure. I plan on getting the engine bay modifyed a bit more as well.
It will be replaced with a 7 1/2" multi plate version.
Whilst im in your thread Dar, have a couple of pics i took of yours at PV

You always say that but there are plenty of Turbo cars that do perfectly well on track. Mine seems to go well enough.Quote:

Now its time to have a word with my little bro about some fabrication work :D
On a side note I also fitted my new 6" 350lb front springs.
Jammy git having that lift ramp, makes things so easy lol
What coilovers do you run Dar?
you don't know your born mr pursey!
lol, the ramp is very handy, esp now I have removed the bar that went across the garage giving me a few more feet of height
Adam - AVO's :D
Ooo, you broke that clutch proper. I was expecting the material to come away from the plate. Agreed, you are jammy for having a ramp!
Spotted this last weekend at Goodwood:

Forget what Merc it was now, think it was the Le Mans racer from a few years back. If plywood is good enough for them....
Are the bodies not bottoming out on the underside of the top mounts with springs only 6" in length?Quote:

Adam - I still have over an inch's worth of travel. I will grab a piccy for you.
Cool :)
How low do you run the front end?
I have just under 4" of piston travel left roughly.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...46_450x600.jpg
I don't run it mega low. I couldn't tell you how much lower than standard it is for example. But here is a piccy of how high it sits off of the front arch.

I only have about 1-2 inch travel left and its higher than yours.
Just read this whole thread. I love this car, A true track er princess lol
Nice Dar :) Is the engine out for a reason? I appreciate the clutch is fooked, but that doesn't require removing inlet fannimolds. Are there some power mods planned, or just doing a stripdown and inspect?
I have plans ;)
It's out so that the engine bay can get some TLC. However you know how one thing leads to another :D
Nathan - Have you measured your spring length when there is full weight on them and when there isn't?
lol I feel the need - the need for speed:DQuote:
