Right, after getting to this about dinnertime, we found when plumbing in the wiring loom, that nothing actually fitted...

A trip down to see Hendrix revealed we had some random inlet manifold (one ive never seen before) and it was completely wrong!
A donated correct manifold and a couple of other bits we went back to crack on removing the manifold we'd just fitted, leaving us with this..

So we cracked back on with swapping the injectors and fuel rails and getting the new maifold on, so much easier and fitted much better than the one that had come off, but not many more pics were taken..
As it sits now..

As she now sits, we need some joining pipes to trim and connect the fuel lines, battery fitting up and the loom connecting, some bolts for the SFi box as we havent got any, and tbh, that really is about it!
Another day of mincing and i reckon she will be ready to run again, im actually in shock as she hasnt run since late 2007
Maybe early and late inlets. I know they are different shapes....
Once again cheers mate big :thumb: up to ya for the help and encouragement, deffinately wont take much more now to get her running then its just the interior to fasten down and get her in for a mot
Spud/rob im sure i have some sfi bolts you can have for nowt. Drop me your address via pm
Well done boys as said on text really looking forward to seeing this out again even if its not on the lovely comps
Aye mate, respray pics are page 8 on here :d
John, thats funking awesome, yes please ill get Robs addy over to you, youre a star!
Made me laugh when you said youd be happy to see it as a 1.0, aslong as its at billing :d
Im so fcukin giddy he has finally given in after six years of ragging him and taking the piss wanting him to finish it :d
Forgot all about this, just assumed it was an abandonned project, but good to see you guys are back on track with it.
Crack on and get it running :thumb:
it was abandonned for 6 years lol hopefully all being well she,l be alive very soon :thumb:
I dont see a difference in the inlets :s
one has a module type thing with a plug connection on it underneath  and none of my wiring would connect into it
So just leave it disconnected surely or just take the module off lol gotta be easier than changing the whole inlet just for that
i think the inlet is a astra gsi one with traction control
holy mother of mercy i cant belive its getting work again, thank god for that.
keep it coming peeps.
It's all lies its a photo shop lol
Rich im not good enough at PS for them pics to be fake lol
And burgo it wouldve been easier but the tps was wrong, the breathers and the TB water pipes were all wrong, and none of the plugs matched to anything, took us a little while to sus it out, and it wasnt a pain in the ass for rob to change it back over, it was for me though lol
ZOMG!!!!!
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Well well good work Rob and his little helper it's been a good quick turn around lads, I hope I'll see this at some point Rob and we need a catchup ;)
I mean this times effort not in total you smash mash Mother Hubbard lol

Couple of random snaps, we were hoping to have had much more done as we persisted through the rain, which then turned to fecking snow!!
Start of the day, two blue xe's in the massive garden (after we had tidied some garden furniture away)
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a36...ps3b61a722.jpg
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a36...psc839e1f9.jpg
Turned round, wanted to get the interior cleared out so we can run the window and door locking wiring in, but the rain started coming down hard...
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a36...ps28616c63.jpg
So we (I) decided to bath her and see how well/if, she cleaned up without the use of a jetwash...
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a36...ps6dcbf396.jpg
Then it started coming down faster than i could rinse it off for a decent pic, and i was soaked so we packed up..

Last few snaps after the snow eased off and how she sits now..

just seen this rob, good to see its moved under its own steam, hopefully see it on the road again soon!
still looks as tidy as ever tbh
More mincing done today, emptied all the crap out of the car itself as someone had filled it with five years worth of assorted shizzle!!
Pulled the carpets out and ran the ew and cl wiring in properly, and ended up pulling the dash out as the whole loom was untaped for some reason, sorted all that out and fixed a few bodges while I was there!
Fitted it all back up and swapped the 16v digi dash for a much better 8v one and stuck the seats and all the trims back in, it now looks like a real car again, and it now has working electric windows and central locking too!
Then we sat in it drinking beer and laughing at our own stupidity haha!
Opened the boot and emptied it, to find an install!
