White decals, T1Rs, win! The new rims look sweet
I'm not too sure on stickers really. I think the wheels look pretty plain without them as theres just a large solid area but then I don't think it look right with stickers fitted. Hmmmmm....
Anyway, I received my T1R's today so will be getting Conza to fit them at his work on Saturday. We're also going to be fitting my 2.0 brakes, front ARB and rear 80mm springs. I've also ordered an ITG foam filter and red 45 degree hose to replace the airbox. I've also ordered a top tint sun strip which I will fit until I can afford to get a proper top tint screen. Hopefully that lot arrives tomorrow/Saturday so I can get it all fitted at once.

Well, me and Conza had a semi-successful day today. We got the Toyo's fitted and now they don't scrub the arches which is a relief! We also managed to get the -80 rear springs fitted which lowered the car a bit more so it fits pretty nice now. I didn't manage to get any pictures but will get some tomorrow. We also fitted my 256mm ATE brakes and EPC drilled and grooved discs. We didn't know which rotation they were so after looking on the internet we fitted them. After I got home I searched EPC discs and it turns out we fitted them the wrong way round. So now I've got to remove them and refit them the right way! Never mind...
We also went to fit my front anti roll bar to find out that I had been supplied with the wrong clamps. So now I'm on the lookout for some of the smaller ones.
Also, a couple of hours after fitting the tyres I went to go out in the Nova again to find that one of the rear tyres had deflated. Now, when I had the 195/50 tyres fitted I had the same problem with the tyre going down everyday on that same rim. Also, because the rims came off a Nova rally car they are not 100% straight. The wheel that keeps deflating is much, much worse than the rest and required 100g of weights to get it balanced right. I'm thinking this may be the problem with the tyres deflating so I've got to try and find another wheel (near impossible) or fit an inner tube which I don't really want to do.

you forgot to add we changed your 20 year old brake fluid so your car we actually stop lol
looks a great car mate :)
Here's a couple of pictures of how the car sits now i've changed the rear from 60mm to 80mm. The height isn't perfect as I would ideally like the arch to be in line with the top of the rim but it's good enough!

Not an update, just a revision to a **** up! lol
On Saturday I managed to get the Nova on a ramp so I changed the disks around so they are now the right way!
My dad also managed to undo the screws for the dust cover so we removed that as well instead of having it cut out/away.
I also managed to get my wheels sorted. I took the wheel over to the bodyshop and prepped the cracked area and smeared lots of JB Weld over the inside and the outside of the cracked area of the wheel. It seems to have worked as no air is escaping which is a good thing!
I've also been bargain hunting again on eBay and managed to buy a pair of black Magnum bucket seats with side mounts for £120! They should hopefully arrive tomorrow so I'll get some pictures when they do.

I've also been thinking about removing the sideskirts as after looking at a few Nova's without them I think they look better. They're only screwed in from the bottom so won't be hard to remove but the passenger rear has some sealant holding it on! I don't know whether I can remove the skirt and sealant without taking the paint as well so I don't know what to do really!
I couldn't wait to get home and unwrap my seats and luckily they did not get damaged during posting! But, they are a bit more 'worn' than the pictures on eBay... They've got a couple of small holes and the foam has deformed a little. I'm going to be sending the seller a message after this as he didn't describe them as being in this condition.
I'm going to be keeping them no matter what as they are really nice/comfortable seats and are VERY lightweight. They are MAGNUM Motorsport carbon kevlar seats and are pretty old school (manufactured in 2001). I think they were pretty cheap at £120 for the pair too including the side mounts.
I've already contacted MAGNUM about new covers and have got to send them a couple of pictures to confirm they can supply them. Once they confirm they can do new covers I shall be getting the seat backs painted.

Today I fitted my ITG filter. I would have ideally liked a standard airbox and filter but because I can't get one to fit and the Corsa one I made was a propper bodge this was the only option.
I had to cut a bit off the end of the hose (inlet side) to get it to fit nicely and then drill a hole to fit the air temp sensor. I think it looks pretty nice compared to some filter setups but I just need to fit the rest of the red hoses as it looks a little out of place!

Really starting to take shape under there, looks good!
Engine bay looks nice now, you'll now be booting it everywhere for the induction noise lol
As for brakes, groves always twist outward from center to chuck out debris water etc, and imo dude I would think carefully about using that wheel, as that looks like bad damage, an could be an accident waiting to happen..
Scott
Only a small update. After bodging a top hose using Corsa/Nova hoses as we didn't have a Corsa GSi hose, without knowing it was toching the exhaust manifold slightly so on Sunday it decided to pee itself and drop all of it's water. Luckily, I had already purchased the Roose hoses so braved the cold and got just the one fitted. Once it warms up i'll get the rest fitted!

http://sphotos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto...28216314_o.jpg
I also started working on the inside. Keeping with the black/flocked theme I decided to wrap my B pillars in suede. I didn't want to do the A and C pillars until I knew they it looked good. I think once I get my flocked door caps back and fitted and once I sort the rear door cards out (either carbon fibre or wrapped ali/plyboard) they'll look good and suit the rest. I would have got the lot flocked but it wouldn't really be worth the money as you won't see most of it all anyway once the cage is fitted.

Today I did a bit more to the Nova. Excuse the dirtiness but it's inevitable in this **** weather! ...
Since putting the engine in I have always had problems with the rocker cover leaking at the bolts. I have tried changing the rubber o-rings, both from a gasket set and then directly from Vauxhall with no success. I decided to have another try today so took the rocker cover off, thoroughly cleaned everything and put it all back together. This time I left the crankcase breather off in case it was blocked and building up pressure. I would have taken the pipe off and cleaned it out but it goes right to the back of the engine just below the inlet manifold so is inaccessible without being on a ramp. This seems to the problem as with the breather off it hasn't tried leaking! So, when I can get the chance of the use of a ramp I'll remove the hose and clean it out.

I also fitted my silicone bottom hose and header tank top hose. I thought that I could just use a normal silicone hose for the other header tank hose but can't as it won't bend enough without folding! So now i've got to order a "propper" hose which I shall do Monday. Then all I need is to sort the vacuum hoses out but I don't know whether to get them in red but then there may be too much red!

I'm in the process of getting a Bailey header tank which will top the bay off nicely. Also, when it get's warmer i'm going to sort the engine wiring out. As I know the engine is all running properly now I can start to remove the wires/plugs that are not needed, mainly the unsightly ones by the header tank / bottom hose. I'd also like to move the light wiring to the inner wing and move the start/charge loom from the passenger side of the bay to the drivers side (where the rest of the engine loom is slightly hidden).
I also fitted my flocked door cappings that I had done by Prey. Again, cannot, even slightly fault his work, it's excellent.

engine bay looks  keep up the good work
Finally, I found a Bailey header tank so once it arrived I got it fitted. I also ordered the rest of the Roose hoses so got them fitted at the same time.

Also, the other day I noticed that the alternator wasn't charging so managed to get a new GM one from Vauxhall Car Parts for £35 delivered. Once it arrived I got it fitted to find that it wasn't the alternator in the end but the earth on the alternator! That will explain the green wires on the above pictures (temporary earth to battery). Whilst changing the alternator we noticed that the adjusting bracket had a also snapped but luckily was still tensioning the alternator. So i've ordered a new bracket and once that arrives we'll also sort the earth out at the same time.

The OZ's are now FOR SALE if anyone is interested as I am looking for a set of MO's... AGAIN!
The OZ's are now sold and i'm hopefully getting a set of 15" white MO's.
On another note, as it was sort of nice yesterday I done some work on the Nova.
Firstly, because I still had the air con fan left from the Corsa I decided to fit it to the Nova and replace the overly large standard one which looks poop.
I bought a fan fitting kit off eBay and set about getting it to fit. I managed to get it into a decent position were it wouldn't hit anything and got it fitted.

I then set about replacing the black vacuum hoses with red ones. I'm not 100% sure on these yet as I think it sort of makes the bay look a little messy wheras the black ones didn't stand out too much.

What are the green wires for. They stand out quite a bit. Red vac hoses look good!
The green wires are just a temporary repair to earth the alternator.
The other day, the top adjusting bracket snapped but was still tensioning the alternator but wasn't earthing it. I've ordered a new bracket so once that comes I can get it fitted and remove the green wires.
I'm liking the red hoses, it's like bloods flowing through the heart of the engine lol
Cheers Southie :wtf: lol
I'm also having thoughts about getting another rocker cover and painting it crackle/wrinkle effect red? But then that may make it too much red...
Today was the day I decided to remove the sideskirts and see what was lurking behind them! Unfortunately there are a couple of small scabs in the drivers side cill and the bottom of the arch where it meets the cill on the passenger side has a few scabs/blisters. I'll have a proper look at "the situation" in the week and see what the bodyshop reckon!
Here's a couple of pictures with the sideskirts removed. With the new wheels I think it will look loads better than with them fitted!

I've also sold the OZ's and have purchased a set of 5x 15" Comp MO's that have just been refurbished and powder coated silver. I'm not too keep on silver so will be getting them painted anthracite when I get the money!

Cheers mate, still a bit more work to do to it before it's exactly how I want it but it's getting there!
Anyway, I've been spending all of my money on the Nova again like usual...
My new wheels arrived today and I'm very happy with them! It's a set of 5 so I can keep one as a spare in the boot (if it fits!) which will look much better than the steel. The colour isn't to my taste but in the future I shall get them repainted. They are in MINT condition and have only just recently been powder coated. I've ordered some blue centre caps which should arrive any day soon.

I've also bought a set of red ignition leads to go with the red theme and also a can of VHT wrinkle/crackle paint to do a couple of bits.
Also, after receiving a damaged euro rear fog light from Germany I got a replacement one and got it fitted along with a standard rear.

I've also been having a think and will probably be getting the rust sorted along with repainting both rear quarters and both doors. I'm also going to fit a GSi rear spoiler, get the door handles painted red and possibly get the passenger door delocked.
When am i fitting the t1rs to these lol
https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...16636715_o.jpg
The Nova has been booked in for paint late next week.
I've already started by removing the rear spoiler and have worked out exactly what i'm having done.
Both rear quarters and doors are having the rust sorted and painted as well as hopefully rolling the arches. I'm also having the boot resprayed as you can see below as well as a GSi spoiler. The door handles are being painted red, the passenger door lock is hopefully being removed and finally I shall most likely be fitting a single Astra GTE bonnet vent on the drivers side of the bonnet above the Aero Catch.
Once it's all painted I shall then decide whether to fit a rear wiper or not as the rear end may end up looking a bit plain and bland.
Whilst it's being painted I shall also be painted the inner arches red and fitting my front and rear window surrounds. I'm also going to have a look around for a top tint windscreen which should improve the looks of the car massively.
Anyway, back to today. I took the Nova to the body shop so he (Rob) could look round it and started by removing the rear spoiler. Now, when we attached it to the boot we didn't want it coming off so we made sure to apply copius amounts of Sikaflex which wasn't such a good idea! We knew that the boot would need painting anyway so wasn't bothered about damaging the paint. I don't have any pictures of the process of removal but after a fair bit of brute force and at one paint having the spoiler bent in half it was finally removed leaving a right mess.

Are the comps 14" or 15"
I like the look without the spoiler too. gsi one will work well though. Are you going for a red or black spoiler? I'd leave the rear wiper off personally.

Cheers guys. The Comps are 15" and Simon, the spoiler will be going red.
Karl Rowntree's Nova above is where I got the idea from as it's probably one of my all time favourites (with the MO's instead of the Speedlines)
Will look really good Liam. Plans sound good!
Thanks Mark and I've just noticed the lack of fuel cap too! lol
iirc the cap is in the door shut. I quite like your car without the spoiler aswell.
