There has certainly been many changes over the 22 years of ownership both good and bad. When we bought the car, as a two door sporty hatchback, it certainly ticked the right boxes for daily use. The irony we bought it without even driving it as we bought it from a garage which basically cleared out ex leased cars (it was 6 months old). When we bought it in February 1991 we had no kids and in December 2011 our eldest arrived and now both the kids are at university and again the car meets our requirements for very different reasons - ie going to shows, after having been an impractical car for many years for car seats, pushchairs etc. Only survived being replaced because it was a second car. There is a history of our cars being kept until good only for scrap but this exceptional car has lasted longer than most. I would probably always have bought a classic car to have gone to shows but was never expecting that the car that we drove all those years would meet most of the requirements. As long as condition of car remains acceptable (far from top show condition) and mechanics hold up then there could be a few more years of use yet.

Mainly work required from passage of time but some to correct previous work
Rear arches patched/filled in 2005 - now with repair panels
Bumpers done in 2011 but paint damaged since
Sills sorting out

Looking really good, once those arches are paainted, paint and then rust proof the insides so that they last another 20 years.

Looks fantastic! My only slight critcism would be the lower colour is a little too light. Glad you found a full set of bumpstrips!
