Poly-X from RallyDesign. No such metal in these ones!
nice work as usual mate, would be good to see some edited videos with cut scenes of the incar footage when you need to correct the car like the big slide on your last outing
How's this? Just been making a compilation of slides and corrections to show just how slippy it was!

Bit too aggressive for wet conditions me thinks.
Were you the only one out?! Or did all the bigboys worry about binning it?
full dedication + the wet = legend
I can't see the videos :(
loving it lionel! Good vids :)
Haha fair play! I'm hoping to get the nova up to my house this Saturday, trying to swap the engine's and get it prep'd for the Mallory on the 13th OCt if you fancy it? Trying to drag Al out to play! After driving round the Nurburgring the other week, I've got the enthusiasm to get it back on track!
Not done Mallory before so sure, I'll add it to my diary and aim to join you.
mallory is ace..
gerards is the tricky bit, its a bend that lasts forever, loads of people carry too much speed into it & then when they suddenly find out it tightens up on the exit, they are already on the way to the scene of the accident...
i used to cycle there for race meetings when i was a kid... i love the place.
I'll keep you posted, it's a full day and open pit and only £129.
It's my local track now, only 30miles away... I'm fitting a baffled sump for those types of corners lol. Big ends started knocking at Bedford on slicks just on the back straight after the fast hairpin.
Nice sliding..lol Love the passenger? at 1:40..lol
vid is class - and actually improved by karls giggling in the background ha ha.
I like the front splitter, I might have to copy that idea ;)
drive hard or drive home, cant wait until my track nova is built
Nice saves! :)
Well no real updates since Rockingham, but I'm booked on at Blyton Park again on the 22nd so figured I'd better do some work on it.
Replaced a wheelbearing with play, and no matter what I do the new bearings still have play, so screw it it can stay with play in! Pic of empty machined Nova knuckle/Cav hub, just cos lol

Also when there noticed my brake pads are woefully destroyed, so ordered a set of Carbone Lorraine CL5+s which I'm waiting to turn up:

Due to the position of my seats the old door handles would crack my elbow regularly, so ordered some straps:

Bolted to the door behind the doorcard and modified the handle surround slightly so they can poke out. Still regret not ordering black ones but oh well.

My PZRacing shift light wasn't working off the revcounter feed, assume because it doesn't come from the ECU, so ordered a little control unit that has a wire sensing off a HT lead.

Shift lights positioned on the dashboard:

Still to prove that they work properly, so there's still time for them to be a failure.
Also fixed my in-car camera footage for trackdays with a GoPro Hero2, much better image quality and no vibrations:

Where did you get the removeable steering wheel boss from?
Halfords sale many years ago.
love it, the straps are a very good idea and look really really cool (and i know cool ;) )
I'm not keen on the straps, might try and mount the alloy handle a bit further forward.
Also the shift lights still done work, so they're probably getting ripped out, FFS waste of money!
send it back mate
looking good, i have problems with the camera though - anything called 'hero' is just a bit wrong lol.
one of the best wips on here well done
Where's the test vid?
Cheers David very kind!
Just for you Benn lol Spent the weekend playing with the best settings/mounting/location/angle so any feedback welcome for my trackday!

I'm experimenting trying to learn heel-toe which is why a few gearchanges are less than beautiful!
that is so much better, the mounting position and the image quality well done mate
Like the internal shifter.
Never really seen one in 'action' before.
Looks easier changes than my std one on quickshift.
Maybe another job to do! :)
needs tb's. :)
Camera is much much better there!
MK999 buy me TBs and I'll fit them! Unfortunately Nova spending is being cut somewhat for other stuff now.
I'm well chuffed with the camera too, much higher and the rear view mirror ruins most of the forward view so this is the best place for it IMO. You don't lose anything other than the bit under the wiper from the seats anyway
Then save your student loan and get some lol
Told you he was too much of a tart :p
Iain needs something... Johnny A has a awesome kit for sale at the mo...
