total sense mate, you don't want it to rotter to ****, this way you can see any rot and deal with it!

This project isnt a stand still, ive been buying parts, pics to follow...

So, got bored today and had a little go on the Nova again, bought a sheet of 2mm steel, and set about making some chassis rail plates. Firstly to strengthen area where I jack car up from and use axle stands, and secondly to tidy up the mess, where jacks had dug into the rails:

Are you not adding strut top plates?

yeh and the HH strengthening kit. Not bought it yet.
