Might as well have a go mate - Got the basic knowledge and the equipment there to do so :)
If i had the equipment then I'd have probably done the paint but my garage is too cramped at the best of times.
It's all in the prep mate get that right and even rattle cans give a good result ;)
Looking forward to the pics once sprayed.
Great work mate, looking forward to seeing the paint.Moreso to seeing the car next year sometime. As you have similar plans etc to me i love to see your progress.Gives me inspiration/motivation you see!
I'll be spending a good bit of time on the prep making sure all bits are properly keyed - Priming the repaired areas (Not many of them) then a mist of the red paint for something to build onto then a good few coats of lovely Flame Red
Hopefully get all the painting done in one day!
Don't worry there will be pictures once it's done :) Hopefully this year will see it painted, just need to work at it
well done fella, got mine running aswell. like you say its a good feeling when it fires into life after sooo long!! good man for painting it yourself to, my old man normally does the painting but i decided as its my project i'll have a go myself and done the interior, its actually quite easy its just all in the preperation! don't add extra hardener than it says i.e 2:1 etc. more hardener will just make the paint hard and crack for to easy not nessacerly dry faster, if you need it to dry quick you need fast hardener etc. i've used normal hardener, thinners etc just in a normal workshop temps and found it drys ok, just make sure its not dusty!!
Shouldn't be too dusty mate, going to have a major tidy up in the lockup and make sure the floor is well soaked :)
Again I'm not going for a show car look just want the car all one colour and hopefully a decent paint finish :thumb:
Coming along very well dude.
Cheers Benn :thumb:
not neccacerily (sp) as if you use slow or medium activator thats what the use in the ovens mate so the piant wont cure if your doing it in the garage mate just a heads up likes
